After my ACL surgery three years ago, I struggled to find shoes that wouldn't hurt my knees while jogging. I tried many recommended running shoes, but none matched the comfort and support of this pair. These shoes provide the perfect balance of cushioning and stability, essential for those with knee issues. They've been a game-changer in my post-surgery recovery, allowing me to jog pain-free. Highly recommended for anyone seeking knee-friendly jogging shoes.

Asics is the only brand of shoes I would buy for years. I will never buy another pair. This pair of Asics is awful, the worse pair I have owned. After two weeks of wear and not even on a daily basis both shoes have holes in the toes. I think that is pathetic for the price. Even worse yet is that no one would contact me back about this issue. I would definitely not recommend you waste your money.

Mostly comfortable for running, walking, jumping rope stabilizing feet the entire way. Suitable for cross training and all other gym activities. Love the integrity of the shoe and it's fine appearance. No other sneaker enhances and protects my typically aching feet better. Relieves pain from toe tendonitis and plantar fasciitis. I half sized down because the toe box is very roomy and it's amply form fitted and not impinging. Heel to toe propulsion great, ball of foot cushioning more than adequate as well as heal's impact. Price is steep but with constant wear, great durability and sore feet, I'm worth it and so are you! Highly recommend for a very active lifestyle.

I bought the platinum version. The gel Nimbus 26 is NOT what it is advertised as. Initially they were comfortable, but after a couple miles my foot felt like it was breaking. Not really mid foot strike. I have a high arch and it felt like this shoe was for a flat footed person. Not good for running or working, or standing for prolonged periods. Very painful and scary
I was looking for a replacement long slow distance (LSD) shoe, i.e. not a race day shoe, but one that was soft enough to wear on long (30km) runs while training for marathon.Shoe is lovely and soft and would suit a 10Km casual runner. This shoe is, however, not what I was looking for. It has a dead feel, no "kick" or "spring" that you get with the carbon plate shoes. It's acceptable as a recovery shoe the day after a long run when you're just taking it very easy. But that's one day per week. I can't convince myself to be cycling through THREE pairs of shoes, a race day shoe, a "trainer" for LSD runs, and this shoe for recovery run. At this price there are better options. My fault entirely. It will suit slower, shorter distance runners.
Ive worn Kayanos since model 16. Just started wearing the Nimbus as it is so very comfortable and cushioning. I have 2 other Nimbus worn for a couple years with no problems. Bought this Platinum for color combo but what a mistake. Had on for 3 hours and created a problem in my back and hip. Needed 2 visits to a chiropractor before i could walk straight again. I called customer service stating i was sure they had to be defective for causing such a problem. Basically I was told too bad I already wore them so there was nothing they could do! Now I'm out $300 ($180 shoes + $120 in dr visits) with no shoes! Be aware of this model and year!
I previously had the Gel Nimbus 25, they were my favourite, most comfortable running shoes. I'd been planning to be the 26s but wasn't sure what colourway to get, until I saw the Platinums, decision made instantly! I ordered them right away, they arrived a few days ago and I wore them for the 1st time today. The colourway looks even better in person and they fit true to size, and the comfort is everything I expected and more. My only regret is writing this review, because I don't want them to sell out before I buy another pair!
Harder than the originals! I have the gel cumulus which I absolutely loved I spent 6 months trying to decide and reading review after review due to my severe rheumatoid arthritis the nerve damage in my lower extremities and my ankles due to a catastrophic fall through an attic I shattered both ankles broke the end of my right leg bones off shattered the bones in my left foot and blue all of the tendons and ligaments in my ankles and suffer from inclusing spondylitis which causes the spontaneous rupture of the fibers in my achilles tendons all that being said I have spent since 2000 and 12 after being in a wheelchair for 2 years in learning how to walk it took me another 4 years to be able to walk on my own however it left me severely disabled and I have those outer ... MoreHarder than the originals! Not being sad the gel numbers are my backup shoes for working around the house all in all in a spin of this last year I have spent two $1,000 on shoes from on clouds, Brooks, Hokas, Asics, Saucony! The last shoe has a brand new that is the only one that worked I'm not a runner nor am I an avid Walker I am a 45-year-old mom who recently lost her husband unexpectedly and had to come out of a 5-year total bed rest palliative hospice care and am having to recondition my body in order to take care of my 17 year old son and myself until our home is ADA compliant and my hospice care nurses can come back into the home. I am eternally grateful that I found my original Asics gel cumulus and will forever be an owner of the original cumulus until they don't make them anymore I wish they didn't break down in their support so fast all I can do is to provide this insight for anybody else suffering from CRPS ra as mg total spinal failure degenerative disc disease fibromyalgia myopathy neuropathy cervical stenosis at the base of my school spinal stenosis multiple ruptured discs from my neck trauma extensive trauma to the very end of my spinal cord a obliterated tailbone cadaver bones in my ankles and the list continues Asics and the company that makes a sex and all of their sister shoes under different brands has given me my life back to the best degree possible and I am eternally grateful and blessed so well this style did not work for me it does not mean that it wouldn't work for others it feels wonderful but to be up and around and running errands all day the heel pain and the comfort in the heel is too hard unfortunately I wish it had the bounce back and the cloud-like feel that the originals in both the numbers and the cumulus have without the rapid breakdown
I love them, although I only used them for walking, not for running. The foam feels very spongy and springy all over the foot. Unfortunately because of a stress fracture I'm not able to run yet, but would be interesting to try them for running as well. I suggest downsize half a size, as when I ordered the first pair, I had to return them because too big. I'm usually ASICS UK 7.5 but this time.I had to buy UK 7
Why are they making the men's color way black? The womens is so much nicer? The colour way has gotten so terrible. The platinum was the nicest men's shoe and has looked atrocious over the last 2 years? Whoever is in charge of designing this individual product should be fired. Woman's looks great. Men's is a dumpster fire. I own last 3 generations of platinum, now I will definitely not be purchasing.
