For me the biggest attraction is ASICS suit my feet perfectly and fit immediately without chafing or other problems. I received these just over a weeks ago and have already worn them for a full day without issues.These shoes are perfectly designed for my exercise needs. Quality and durability are brilliant. Great value

I bought these shoes after the last pair of another brand started to wear out after 12-14 months.I wear this style of shoe every day for work as I am on my feet between desk and data centre floor.From the outset I found The ASIC GT-1000 to be very comfortable.I feel that the balance of these trainers is more neutral between heel and toe and having a history of spinal problems, they are much easier for me to wear for long periods.Hopefully they last, but first impressions are great.

After almost 12 months of wear (7-10km/day - 5 days a week), I can that they're a good shoe. I'm not entirely convinced I'll buy another pair, based purely on the durability and feel of the outsole. For me, the outsole has always felt a bit too soft. I do a LOT of walking at work (see above) - all of it on concrete. They've always been comfortable, they fitted well right out of the box (I'vebeen wearing Asics Foundation for 20+ years, so I know the brand).I'm just not that convinced about the outsole. I think it needs to be a bit firmer.

Going to buy a second pair, after using the first pair for about 15 months as my main walking and Gym shoe! Used it anywhere (except office!) I could as I don’t like having too many shoes.It would certainly last more than 15months if it wasn’t because of my feet making uneven shoe wear patterns.Lucky it’s still available online, not in my nearby stores unfortunately.
I bought this few weeks back online directly from ASICS. Order processing and delivery were absolutely fabulous. I am a ASICS Gel Kayano fan but this time I needed a shoe with leather upper for office ware as I do quite a bit of walk and have Achilles issues, hence chose GT1000.From a comfort standpoint to wear longer, I was not satisfied with its heel cushioning and support. May be I have chosen a wrong model as there are many models and it confuses the customer to choose right one. Later I bought a Gel Kayano wide from factory outlet at Olympic park and was able to try out and pick the right one. ASICS should stick to fewer models or clearly call out the use cases for each models for those who purchase online.
it's great that ASICS have re-introduced a new all leather product range in 2E width. So pleased this has happened as I was unable to find any leather ASICS in any Australian online stores for the last 6 months. The great thing is that the white, black and blue were all available in my size, so I now have the set. The new blue pair are awesome. Please extend the range to also include grey.
ASICS stopped selling the 550TR in leather for adults. The new product the GT1000 appeared similar. I need leather for durability. The shoe gave me trouble from the start it seemed too short. I hit a US 12 1/2. I thought my foot must be slipping forward so I used the runner loop in the laces. This didn’t help but I persisted hoping it would break in and come right. But my toes were being crushed nails polishing and shocks abrading. Unfortunately I had to return to the almost worn out 550’s. As part of the process I switched the insoles. It was then that I found the old 550 insoles did not fit in the new 1000 shoes without buckling. The size difference is small but significant. The shoe is made well other than it being the wrong size.
I have had a lot of trouble finding a show that I can use to do work in the backyard. Previously I was using a pair of ASICS joggers that were very confortable but which had a soft fabric top. They were fantyastic and comfortable but just not built for hard work in the yard. I was looking for a shoe that had a leather top and hence more durable. I tried a pair of New Balance but they were not comfortable and looked liked weraing out my little toe before wearing out the shoe. Then I found the ASICS GT-1000 LE 2 - it has been a spectacular improvement - both sturdy and comfortable - just what I needed. Thank you ASICS and the Athlete's foot for the very helpful service.
I have been a big fan of ASICs for years - some of which have lasted literally decades.I have wanted a black pair for ages.So bought two pairs of these (one each for hubby and wife).Super comfortable and seem to be well made.However, am hoping they do better than my hubby's most recent white pair - F911015 / Gel 190TP / Size43.5 - where the soles became rock hard and lost all their ability to flex or grip. Clearly a manufacturing flaw. The shoe leather uppers and interiors are still in great condition so this was a real disappointment.My most recent white pair F461019 / GT 1000 LE / Size 42 - the front end of the sole that wraps up to the left toe, has started to unstick on the left foot, despite mostly indoor use. firstly I visited in store to purchase these but they were out of stock. I was dubious about online ordering, what if sizing was wrong etc. In store staff were knowledgeable and explained exchange if necessary.second these shoes are better than expectations. My son finds them very comfortable / supportive and the upper is a leather like material. IMO making them stronger than the mesh material of the previous ones he had.Your prices are better than competitors too!Overall I am very happy with the experience with the Athletes Foot. Thank you
