I have been wearing the regular Gel Kayano since the 20th anniversary year (up to the 29 now). I was curious about the Kayano Lite so I decided to try the Lite 3. They felt wonderful right out of the box - cushioned, bouncy and comfortable with enough stability to handle my over-pronation. However, I’m a heavy runner, and after about a month the medial side midsole has started to go flatten out and the soft rubber on the outsole wore down quickly to the point that there is no grip left in the forefoot. Probably a great shoe for most people, but the regular Kayano works better for me.

I offer two stars due to the fact that one shoe arrived without an insole, and I had to hound ASICS repeatedly for three weeks to receive any resolution (during which I was regularly ignored and ghosted by their customer service despite promises to call me back). We also dealt with a customer service representative on the phone who literally didn't know what an insole was, and kept asking us to explain it to them (we tried, to no avail...). After three weeks of wrangling with customer service, ASICS informed me that they would be sending a replacement pair, as they don't have replacement insoles (seriously?). Shortly after that, I got an email saying that the model I'd originally bought was out of stock, so they couldn't send a replacement. I'm currently borrowing an insole from an older pair of shoes, and running with mismatched insoles. It's better than nothing, and my first run with the Kayano Lite 3s was genuinely great. Still, the customer service fiasco was the worst I have ever dealt with with any company. I'm likely going to be switching brands for a while until ASICS sorts out its horrendous customer service. I hope that one day I can give them another shot, but it just feels too risky for now. It's a shame, because ASICS makes great shoes (when all the pieces arrive...)

Quick delivery by Asics! The trainers were perfect, as a Gel-Kayano lover I wanted to try something lighter to help improve my pace but keep the stability the Kayano offers. It took a couple of runs to properly bed in but I feel they've helped give me faster 5km pace! They're light weight and perfect for my over pronation. 10/10 would recommend.

I was a former runner and developed a disability in my 50's which only allows me to walk fast with a fair amount of nerve pain. This shoe does a great job in helping me accomplish this. Lots of nice, usable, functional cushion but it doesn't feel like an orthopedic shoe. Good grip in bad weather also. I try to go around 2 miles in all weather. Very pleased with them. Was mostly using trailrunners previously.
Ended up returning. The stability features were a little too robust for me. The shoe also runs a bit on the narrow side. Never a good sign when I take the shoes off my feet feel relieved/free. I can see where a person with more stability needs and a narrower foot could get a lot from this shoe. It just didn't work for my needs.
I chose these shoes due to reviews recommending them for sturdy all-round running use. They fulfill this use-case perfectly. I am only an amateur runner aiming to keep fit and improve my times by myself and these suit me perfectly as they are light, comfortable and never come undone. Where I usually run has some especially slippery surfaces and these deal with that far better than my previous pair.
Relative swift service. Could follow transport: Düsseldorf-Langenhagen (Hannover)-Glostrup (Copenhagen). A bit delayed from Asics facility in Düsseldorf. Online some chats about some Asics fraudsite; some people received scarfs and underwear instead of shoes etc.
The one shoe I have been waiting for. I have a low arch with a slight pronation and this shoe gives me the perfect amount of stability, it's light with good amount of cushioning, airy upper and as a bonus grippy laces so you don't have to double knot. For me it is the perfect fit and I couldn't be happier.
In the past my shoe of choice has always been the GEL-KAYANO with which I have been very pleased. I gave the GEL-KAYANO LITE 3 a try and it has been great! It is a very lite, stable, and comfortable shoe that works very well with my over pronation. I have been using them for about a month now and have put some mileage on them. I will definitely be buying the GEL-KAYANO LITE 3 again and intend to make it my go to shoe for every day running.
I understand that this is a stability model but I was really hoping for a less "chunky" feel. I had read other reviews that this was more of a neutral stability type of shoe but for me it felt extremely stable and was not "smooth" transitioning throughout my stride. I would say even when I landed in the midfoot it felt like it smacked flat hard and didn't "roll"/ "transition" to the toe well. If you strike in the midfoot or heel I don't think this shoe is a good fit for you. I'll use this shoe for faster paced easy runs (1 minute slower than goal pace) and temp/ speed work but it will be used to save my other shoes.
