These were my first pair of running shoes ever, I’ve always wore saloman speed crosses the past 7 years. I was a loyalist but after getting more into long distance endurance runs and road running I knew it was time to change it up. I was so impressed with how comfortable these are and how they perform. The response, bounce, light weight, comfort, and a design that wants to propel you forward with each step. I can wear these all day and have run 10-13 miles in them. I shaved off 15 seconds for each mile right out of the box and I PR in multiple runs from 5k to half marathon within the first month of owning them. I definitely would consider this a perfect daily trainer that I would use for 5k up to a marathon distance…These are a game changer and ASICS are now my ... MoreThese were my first pair of running shoes ever, I’ve always wore saloman speed crosses the past 7 years. I have now bought the nova blast 4 trail, Metaspeed sky Paris and one pair of hokas to test out…. ASICS are the best IMO and this shoe is worth every penny!!! You won’t be disappointed especially if you’re like me and never owner a pair of quality running shoes before, night and day difference!

Haven’t ran in a year. This shoe took two minutes off of the average that I have had when starting my running regime. They feel very light on my feet and I will assume that they feel like moon shoes because I am not used to wearing a quality running shoe. I was concerned that they would feel like marshmallows based on other reviews, but I still felt connected to the pavement, while also feeling the energy return the shoe was giving me. My last pair of shoes was the UA Wind Velocity 2 and I paid $160 many years ago for that shoe. The price point of these and what you get from them is unmatched. Thanks for keeping your shoes affordable and for offering top notch quality in an all around trainer! If you need a shoe to put all of those everyday miles on, look no ... MoreHaven’t ran in a year. I'm 5ft 10in, 245lbs and just turned 49 years old. Started couch to 5k app in hopes to eventually run a 10k race next year. First pair of shoes Asics gel nimbus lite 2. They were alright but my calves and feet would get really sore after second day of running in them. But finished 5k in them. Waited over a month for the Novablast 4 after viewing way too many reviews. First time I put them on I could feel the difference and ran 2 miles at a 30 sec per mile faster pace! Better yet. My feet felt really good. Sonce then I've cut another 10 sec off pace over 2 miles and about 60 sec off mile time! Didn't give 5 stars as I'm new to the running world and need more shoes for that type of evaluation. But for now. I put in lots of research before I decided to take the punt on the Novablasts. Watched countless review videos on YouTube, read loads of 'Best running shoe' articles. It was between these and the Gel Nimbus. Very pleased with my purchase. The Novablasts feel lightweight and comfy. I'd say they feel quite cushioned and almost springy compared to typical running shoes I've had in the past. This takes a little getting used to if you've never had a cushioned pair before. In terms of size, I'm a size 10 in more shoes and these were no different. I was worried about the toe box being a little tight which is all too common in trainers. These feel wide enough that I can't feel my toes touching the side but not wide enough that there's movement. No movement there either.Despite some reviews saying that the grip in the wet isn't completely flawless, I've had no issues with it slipping on typical pavement and gravel tracks.Overall, I'm impressed and very happy with them.
Love them! I have been loyal to Brooks Ghost & Glycerin since they available in 2E & durable for a little heavier heal striker. I've had not pain for several years so no need to switch. Very disappointed in the Ghost 14 & 15 & Glycerin 20 just OK (Ghost 12 were my favorites). After a lot of research I tried the Novablast 4 in size 10 2E that fit true to size. Big choice for me to switch from a know brand & reliable sizing. Novablast is a neutral shoe with some built in stability IMO. FAR MORE RESPONSIVE than either Brooks model I mentioned. Feels every bit as cushioned as the Glycerin but far more bounce & responsiveness. Ghost is far less cushioned & far less responsive. Ghost has a firmer ride so expect more energy returen but not the case in the 14 & 15 which ... MoreLove them! Only about 40 miles in but haven't noticed premature tread wear & I typically expect 400 miles out of a pair of trainers. Definitely recommend.
I'm a big fan of the Novablast line as my daily trainer - these have changed slightly from the previous model. The outsole feels a bit wider and a tad more stiff to me - don't get as much "bounce" but do feel a bit more "snap" if that makes sense. The outsole is more grippy than the NB3 and a bit better to run on wet surfaces, that being said still a bit slick. The shoe in general feels a bit wider and more stable which makes it a bit more tame. The colour of these are WHITE - in the picture it looked like an off white but they are snowflake white. I run in early morning when its dark outside so the fact that they are a bright white don't bother me but I know some people don't like that colourway. There is now a pull tab on the back which is welcome and the tongue ... MoreI'm a big fan of the Novablast line as my daily trainer - these have changed slightly from the previous model. There is now a pull tab on the back which is welcome and the tongue doesn't have the elasticity of the previous model albeit still very comfortable - lacing holes (system) are good and solid and I get a really good heel lockdown when using a runners knot.Only have 4 runs in these so far, but like the previous model I feel I'll be getting a lot of km's out of them.Always recommend the Novablast - ASICS has created a staple with this shoe.
I originally wanted to exchange these shoes when I realized the next day that I selected the wrong color. I called ASICS customer support, and the condescending support rep scoffed at me and told me he wouldn’t assist in an exchange, and that I would have to return them.I decided to just keep the shoes in the highlighter green color to avoid the $5 return fee. The shoes felt okay walking around my living room, and for the first few miles of my run. After 3 miles I had an awful pain in the ball of my foot. I’ve been doing this long enough to know the pain, the shoes are too narrow for my foot.I reached out to customer service to see if there was anything that could be done. ASICS, in contrast, sent me another condescending response and an article on pronation for me to review before buying another pair from them. That won’t be necessary, I’ll be pursuing all future purchases through a more supportive brand.
I love the Asics brand and have owned many pairs of running shoes over the years. I ran through three pairs of Asics Novablast 3s and absolutely loved them as daily trainers. My son is a top tier runner and also loved the Novablast 3s as daily trainers. My girlfriend also jumped on board and loved the 3s with a couple pair of her own. We all recently bought a pair of Novablast 4s and are utterly disappointed. They are much firmer than the 3s. I guess Asics replaced the foam with a newer and "improved" foam which unfortunately does not feel like an improvement. None of us will buy another pair of 4s. With that being said, I still gave it a 3 star rating because it is a solid shoe. I think the 4s upper was improved over the 3s but I hope Asics is listening and goes ... MoreI love the Asics brand and have owned many pairs of running shoes over the years. After spending hours researching "the best running shoes" on google, the Novablast 4 came up on pretty much every list.As someone who has always bought Nike products in the past, the great reviews for the Asics Novablast 4 were enough to sway me to try something different and I am so glad I did. They are extremely comfortable, breathable on the tops, have brilliant grip and it feels like I am running on springs. They have great support for the entire foot and running in them feels very gentle on the feet, legs and knees. They are a fantastic shoe.Just something to bear in mind- what makes them so cooling/breathable for the feet means that they aren't the best for running in the rain...learnt that the hard way after getting caught in torrential rain the other ... MoreAfter spending hours researching "the best running shoes" on google, the Novablast 4 came up on pretty much every list.As someone who has always bought Nike products in the past, the great reviews for the Asics Novablast 4 were enough to sway me to try something different and I am so glad I did. They are extremely comfortable, breathable on the tops, have brilliant grip and it feels like I am running on springs. I bought these shoes as a comparison to see how they matched up to the super comfort of the Gel Nimbus 26 and I ended up keeping both. Yeah I know it sounds like an excuse to own ALL the shoes but after just one run I knew they’d be my go to for any distance up to a half marathon.I’m not a fast runner but I am a long runner and so comfort over pace is definitely my thing. Whilst I love the plushy goodness of the GN26 for really long slow runs wanted something a little more energetic for other distances and the Novablast 4 didn’t let me down. Without feeling rigid or stiff they provide a lovely bounce whilst still giving that reassuring squish that I really need to keep the miles ticking over. Without feeling rigid or stiff they provide a lovely bounce whilst still giving that reassuring squish that I really need to keep the miles ticking over. I had a really steady ten mile run over a variety of surface from rough trail to road and had very happy feet throughout. The Novablast 4 really seems to have hit a sweet spot in giving max comfort without mega chonkiness. Yes my foot still felt super cushioned but it retained a level of responsiveness that allowed me to pick up the pace when I wanted to.The upper of the shoe sits really comfortably over the foot and felt locked down without any hot spots or slips. The laces stay firmly put and the whole shoe looks great on without the foot juggernaut look that comes with a lot of maximalist shoes. The ‘safety yellow’ colour way is true to its name, I suspect you could see me from space but that fine by me, I love a bit of high vis. I found them to be pretty true to my shoe size with a thin sock but I’ve decided to go up a half size to accommodate a waterproof sock for splashy runs.I’m a recent convert to ASICS after 10+ years with another brand (their newest version just wasn’t working for me) and I’ve been really blown away by not only the high quality and accuracy in description vs suitability of the shoes but also the 90 day trial and slick service.
