I was at the usual point in my running journey - 2 months in to a program and starting to get Achilles pain - when instead of giving up, I bought a pair of these. They are very cushioned through the heel and midsole and my pain has gone. I am now looking forward to my runs. I cant comment on durability at this stage, but lready know I will be buying the same model again. Highly recommended.

Love the comfort and cushion. Being a distance walker (6miles) I am always evaluating my shoes for comfort and prevention of leg fatigue. These shoes have it all. After 6 miles and my feet, legs and back feel great! They are really attractive too!

I absolutely loved the Novablast 3 and didn’t hesitate to order the 4. Same walking comfort with one glaring glitch. The Novablast 4 has a brand tag heavily stitched to the top of the tongue. And that stitched ridge is really irritating to the top of my foot. I used manicure scissors to try to carefully remove it. Full disclosure, it’s a tedious process but I am away from home with no sewing supplies. The removal feels so much better but I am a bit miffed with the tracks of holes on a new pair of expensive shoes. Just leave it off. It adds nothing.

LOVE THESE and in my top 3 favorite! After trying other brands throughout the years, I swear by ASICS. I switch between the Novablast, the Nimbus for training runs, and Superblast 2 for races. The Novablasts have just the right amount of cushion for absorption and spring to pick up the pace (I do personally prefer the more cushioned support shoes.) I also normally tend to choose brighter colors for my running shoes, but I wanted to try something a bit more neutral, and these are just perfect. Such an awesome/unique color with the navy and the metallic! So happy with my purchase!!
Not as good as Novablast 3…seems to be less support and less energy return. Unfortunately I would say this show will have to be mostly for walking and not suitable to run. Little disappointed, the only plus is it is a nice shoe to look at. Also recommend going a half size bigger
Super light with just the right amount of cushioning and energy return. I love running in these shoes and I run faster in these shoes. You cannot help but want to run once your feet are in them. Optimal height and room in the toe box.
I’m a long time runner and used to wear ASICS. I was not impressed with the durability of my last pair of shoes (another brand) so I decided to try ASICS again. I was excited to try the Nova blast as the reviews looked good. I ran twice in them both times my feet ached after a workout- it felt like I was running without shoes and I even had knee pain and swelling. I’m going back to the other brand- they may not last long but they didn’t injure me.
While I’ve always loved all my ASICS sneakers and the wide variety and cool designs, this one didn’t do it for me.They were comfortable, as usual, but the colors/design/pattern in person weren’t as flattering as the pictures.To me, the shoe looked more like a men’s color scheme when I tried them on. My personal opinion.I returned these and opted to get the Gel Nimbus 26 in Light Celadon, which are very attractive and super comfortable!I also ordered the Gel Excite 9 in Mako Blue since I always need a pair of navy sneakers. Looking forward to when they arrive.
Best shoe I have ever tried. Light weight. Well-cushioned but remains stable. Excellent mid-foot lockdown. Padded collar is perfect with no malleolar or achilles irritation. Unique tongue is best design I have ever had. Great work by Asics.
Bought the novablast 4 as a daily trainer for half marathon training. The angle of the toe box is quite acute and unfortunately it’s claimed my middle toenail. I sized up to ensure my toes had enough room, but the issue was more the shape of the shoe. I think it’s probably a great shoe for some but the shape won’t work for everyone. The toe spring was great and the shoes felt nice and light on my feet. Unfortunately my toenail didn’t agree.
