I went from the Gel Resolution to the Solution Speed FF2... loved them. Last week purchased the new Solution Speed FF3. The shoe no longer has the elastic straps that keep the tongue in place. After playing a few minutes the tongues end up on the sides of my feet. Talked to another player who has same shoe with the same problem. Really disappointed. I would gladly return them if Asics would credit for a different shoe.

Terrible shoe. Wore it once and my foot would slip out. No support. After buying ASICS for years I was told no returns if you wear it once. I should have looked them over more carefully when I received them. I assumed it would be like every other pair of ASICS. I can’t stress enough to avoid this shoe if you are used to high quality normally from this brand. Customer support offers nothing once you take a tag off.

Great upgrade to the FF2. Have worn these 4-5 times after wearing out another pair of the FF2. Have also worn the Court FF3 and really liked those. I thought about leaving behind the solution speed but won't be doing that after trying these.Stability/cushionLateral stability is impressive and a definite improvement. I'm 5'10" about 180 wearing a size 8, so might just be my small feet and not small weight, but felt like I overpowered the FF 2 at times. The full length plastic (speedtruss) on the outside seems to add stability - very solid going hard side to side. The platform of the shoe seems a little wider at the forefoot and heel and makes the shoe feel more stable…ankle especially feels locked in better as the FF2 was narrow enough in the heel to scare me at ... MoreGreat upgrade to the FF2. The platform of the shoe seems a little wider at the forefoot and heel and makes the shoe feel more stable…ankle especially feels locked in better as the FF2 was narrow enough in the heel to scare me at times. The heel also has more cushioning, noticeably softer when lunging and landing on back of the foot. The FF3 sits up a little higher on the ankle and hugs it better, which adds to the stability but doesn't compromise movement. And somehow the shoe is lighter.Tread/OutsoleWas excited to see an updated tread pattern - looks like it will hold up better on the FF3. I was not crazy about the "flexible ridges" on the FF 2 - once they started to wear under the ball of the foot, they disappeared quickly on me. Hoping these will hold up better.BreathabilityNever been a huge concern for me, but these are actually airy feeling. The fabric on the front outer part of the foot keeps them cool - felt a breeze on my feet when stepping onto the court the other night…definitely a first.ConsNot sure there are any, but only concerns so far are the width and toe cap. Seem a tiny bit more narrow from the FF2. Toe cap is a bit smaller than the previous model, hopefully it will hold up well.

Been a fan of Asics Gel Resolutions & Lacoste AG LT 23's. I have slightly wide feet and the Gel Resolutions & AG LT 23's fit me just fine, but after about two hours on court, the toe box area kills me - so when I'm on the hunt for new shoes, I try to find either 2E shoes or standard D shoes that have a more forgiving fit. I originally grabbed a pair of these these Solution Speed FF 3's in the orange colorway (because of the fire de Minaur marketing) and they fit like a DREAM. Furthermore, it was my first time experiencing such a lightweight shoe that still offers plenty of support. The rocker shape + the unique outsole tread makes it a fast shoe with loads of traction on hardcourts. The rocker shape + the unique outsole tread makes it a fast shoe with loads of traction on hardcourts. I'm not the fastest mover on court, but after my first session with the Solution Speed FF 3's, I couldn't (and still can't) imagine going back to a heavier shoe even if it may offer more stability & support - but it's a trade-off I can live with. I've heard a lot of reviewers say these make a great match day shoe and I totally agree, but I will definitely still make these my daily driver too.I loved the orange colorway so much, I didn't want to wear them out TOO fast, so I grabbed a pair in this white/mako blue/neon green colorway. Taking them out of the box, dang, what a sight! I love this colorway even more - so much so, I just bought an extra pair so I won't be heartbroken when they run out of this colorway. So clean being a white shoe and the mako blue & neon green touches make it stand out in the best way on court. Lightweight, supportive, forgiving width for slightly wider feet, and an overall aesthetically pleasing shoe. I've had commitment issues in the past with other shoes . . . but I'd put a ring on the Solution Speed FF 3's. Forever & ever, baby!
First thing, this is a comfortable, light shoe, but maybe not as solid feeling as I’ve had in the past with the gel range. However I can’t describe this shoe as ‘all court’. I slipped on a clay court a couple of weeks ago and broke a rib. I’d had a few occasions where I lost my footing before this, a problem I’d not had with the gel clay shoes. The pattern in the soul is not suitable for clay courts I believe and if this is predominantly the surface you play on I would recommend a dedicated clay court shoe
I've used Asics GT 1000 or 2000 for my running shoe requirements for years as I need a good running shoe with some mild support. So anywhere I can find them (online) at the right price I know they will do the job! These ones are no exception, feel like all the others (comfortable, the right mild support, some cushioning, good ventilation). The price I paid this time unbelievable! £61 direct from Asics, really can't complain as I struggle to get my size usually (mens 6.5, 40.5 eur size). Bought these shoes this time as my second shoes as I bought a pair of Asics Novablast 4 a few weeks ago, which I want to keep clean. As I say at the price really can't complain and know what I was getting. Only thing colours not too attractive (Black/Cilantro), but don't mind as I've ... MoreI've used Asics GT 1000 or 2000 for my running shoe requirements for years as I need a good running shoe with some mild support. Hmm… Not sure. It was hyped up as a big improvement but I’ve immediately experienced some issues. Main one is that the tongue is much higher/longer so it is constantly being pushed away and turning/folding to one side, leaving the laces exposed and the front of the foot / lower leg feeling unsupported. Every few minutes you need to pull the tongue out and straighten it, but before long the same thing happens again.I never had this problem with the FF2s
Bought these for work as I have to be on my feet quite a lot. Super comfortable, breathable, light and just a joy to wear. The shoes look nice too and there were loads of colorways to choose from. These are my second pair of GT-1000s, I have the GTX version for hikes and they're fantastic too, you can walk for hours in these without aches and pains in your feet. By far the most comfortable sneakers I've ever owned and absurdly affordable to boot.
Overall, the ASICS Solution Speed FF is a fantastic choice for tennis players who prioritize speed and agility. They offer a great combination of lightness, comfort, and durability, making them suitable for competitive play. While they might feel a bit narrow for some, the performance benefits they provide are well worth it. If you’re looking for a shoe that can keep up with your fast-paced game, the Solution Speed FF is definitely worth considering.I already have heavy footwork and slow legs so light shoes is a must for myself!!
These are a replacement for a pair of ASICS that had lasted me for many years of regular use. Similar model and equally as comfortable, supportive, lightweight and flexible. Hopefully as durable too. Great that ASICS continue to make their shoes in the larger sizes. Also very good value. Nike are more than twice the price for an equivalent trainer.
