A stability shoe that does not feel like a stability shoe! Many stability shoes I've tried are bulky, uncomfortable and heavy. This shoe is completely the opposite! Feels light on the foot and gives a comfortable and bouncy ride. I have flat feet and overpronate slightly, usually I run in neutral shoes but I really like this shoe because it feels very smooth even though it gives good stability and support. I would pick it for a daily or long run on the road or light trail. However, it is a very allround shoe, I could also use Gel Kayano for strength training or crossfit since it keeps you stable on the ground. The shoe fits perfectly and is true to size for me.

Well, in my experience anyway. Loved the newer lightweight feel, higher heel and more room for the forefoot. But thereâs something not right, the famous scientific factor of Kayanos is missing in right shoe of my pair. 29s if the same size and fit were more supportive in the upper skeleton of the shoe, but I had to change over since their inner sole didnât last long (became hard and flat in a few months) and using an insole would make them too tight. I supplemented them with Reebok for a while and then turned to 30. The right foot 30 is giving a sore lateral mid foot and discomfort under the ankle, at the end of the day 6hr day. No such issues with 29s n Reebok.Higher cost understandable, design liked, but disappointed by quality. Bottom soleâs grooves are extremely superficial and will diminish soon. Luckily I had kept the 29s for âď¸ and am back to using them and Reeboks interchangeably. Bought 30s in July, hardly used- wasted.

When I first saw the new generation I was worried! This was not my favorite Gel- Kayano because the gel was no longer visible. But when I put it on my feet...The best Kayano ever! The most comfortable shoe in the stability category. In the outsole of the GEL Kayano 30, a 4D Guidance system is implemented, which combines safety and comfort. The sole is a bit wider and makes me feel secure when running fast. At the same time, I feel exceptional comfort thanks to the gel plate under the heel. My foot sinks right in there and I've never had that feeling with a stability model before. The design is great despite my initial judgment and the mesh is so soft and breathable. I love my new Kayano 30!

Every runner will have their own preference for shoes, dependent on their running style and the type of running they do - so for context, I usually go for Brooks Launch for road running, which has minimal cushioning and is very light. The Asics Gel-Kayano has a lot of cushioning in the sole and I found the heel height quite weird. The back of the shoe also has a lot of cushioning around your heel but I found this pushed my foot forward. I got this in my usual running shoe size (one size bigger than other shoes) but because of the forward tilting heel, my toes felt forced into the end - perhaps need to go 1.5-2 sizes up. The sole itself didn't seem very flexible, perhaps because of all the foam, so running felt quite flat footed and not very springy. The sole itself didn't seem very flexible, perhaps because of all the foam, so running felt quite flat footed and not very springy. After trying these on a few 10k runs, mostly on pavement, I went back to my old Brooks, which make running for me more comfortable. The Asics are fine for walking, though I think the bulky sole looks a bit weird. The colours on the shoes are nice though, I particularly like the blue on the foam at the front.
I really loved the colourway on these trainers, they are pretty versatile so will go with most colour outfits. The upper is black with a subtle yellow & purple, there is lovely splash of colour along the sole, in a bright rich cobalt blue running along in an ombre effect to turquoise/aqua. The underneath is white/yellow.These trainers feel and look great quality, they are super comfortable and your foot feels well cushioned and supported. I've managed a few 5ks in these without any issues although would say the heel is a little on the bulky side compared to my other trainers (Nike Pegasus 40), however I think you'd get used to this.I would say they come up a little on the small size so would recommend going up half a size.
Iâve worn Kayanoâs for years. I have flat feet and flare ups of plantar fasciitis. The new design of the 30 is a real disappointment. Initially, they feel great. They have a lots of cushioning and I recently learned if you have a flat foot you should buy a wide shoe. I did that and thought I found the perfect shoe. But then I put some walking miles on them and noticed my midsoles were in a lot of pain. Then my heel pain started to flare up. And my arches were killing me. All of the arch support that were in previous versions is gone. I donât think this whole âmaximum cushioningâ trend is the greatest thing for people with flat feet. We need some cushioning, but we also need some support. Iâm going to try Brooks adrenaline. I hope they work. My feet are killing me.
These running trainers are amazing. I love ASICS trainers for running and have had a few pairs in the past so jumped at the chance to try these. They are fabulous. Well cushioned, supportive of the whole foot and especially around the ankle area. I tend to overpronate but purchase shoes for a neutral foot and these were perfect. Sizing was spot on too. I usually size up a little as I find that my feet swell with running so best to have some room. I'm usually a 5.5 shoe size but take size 6 for running. These were perfect. I'd recommend doing the same.I love the pop of colour too. They look very stylish without compromising comfort. My only comment would be that they feel quite snug when getting on but once your feet are in, there is no discomfort at all. The most comfortable and fastest stability trainers that I have ever worn. You can definitely feel that this model of Kayano is more cushioned which hasn't compromised on stability in anyway. Upgraded my Kayano 28s to the 30s in Gris Blue. Overall the cushioning is incredible and feels like you are running on a cloud. I had started experiencing some joint pain in my previous shoes which disappeared as soon as I switched to these. Also love how the shoe is higher around the ankle than in previous models, minimising any heel slippage. Unfortunately the toe/mid foot area feels far too wide for my foot, particularly on the left, which makes the shoe feel unstable. I thought this sensation would improve after a few runs but it has not. I also prefer the upper material of the platinum models. I would recommend these for the cushioning but not for the fit.
Very happy indeed with my new ASICS Gel Kayano 30 trainers! Went with the bright orange colour. I always go with the ASICS GT2000 as I tend to over pronate- but I thought I would treat myself to these ones for my half marathon training and see how they fair. They are extremely comfortable and even though they look quite clumpy (due to the large sole) they donât feel it. They are very supportive and I feel very happy with them. As always I size up a whole shoe size in my running trainers- and I would highly recommend them! A wonderful service from Start Fitness too thank you! And also for the Haribo Sweets!! Very happy all round thank you :)
