These shoes are good depending on what you're wearing them for. I wear these to the gym on a day when I'm not doing a lot of walking/ zumba. Otherwise my feet start to hurt. Cute shoes, good for everyday wear. Not the most cushioning for long term wear.

I bought two pair of the new Jolt 4. One pair I use for walking to/from work around 6km per day. The comfort is great for a cheaper shoe and the wide size is perfect for my feet. The other pair I use as my indoor running shoe. I use them on the treadmill and on an indoor track. I use them for all my short and mid distance runs of 5 to 15km. I’ve only used them 5 times since I bought them, but I’m satisfied with the feel and traction. They are pretty light as well, so for the price a good simple training shoe. Definitely not a performance shoe, but good as a rotational short to mid distance shoe.

Very good shoes at this price point. I had been running with the Jolt 3 for distances upwards of 21k. However, the Patriot worked very well right out of the box. It didn't feel like I had to break them in like I did with the Jolt 3. It took me a while to settle on the Patriot, but after giving them a couple of test runs, I think I made a good chocie.

The shoes are perfect for the current price. Just note they are wide and may not fit well for small feet. I’ve got wide feet so they suit me perfectly. I bought them for walking. But I am not sure if they are great for running as my other Asics shoes (Gel Kayano) - way better to run in them comparing to this ones
As a regular runner I've always used Asics trainers and found them very comfortable. My latest set of these have now covered 100 miles of tarmac, and they have maintained their cushioning well. They're fairly simple in design, no frills, but as I change my runners often I prefer something in the more affordable range. These have substance.I'd more usually go for a darker pair, so as not to show as much mud and staining, but they perform and function well.
I have been a big fan and purchased several pairs of the Asics Patriot 12 running shoe. Unfortunately when I discovered that I could no long purchase the Patriot 12 because it had been phased out of production I chose to give the Patriot 13 a try. I appreciate the look and weight of the Patriot 13. However, I have been highly disappointed in the support and comfort of the shoe. I noticed a marked difference in the tread design between the Patriot 12 and 13. The design, comfort and support of the Patriot 12 worked much better for me than that of the Patriot 13. I wear the shoes at work where I am on my feet for several hours at a time. I've notice that my feet and legs are more fatigued after a shift wearing the Patriot 13 shoes compared to the Patriot 12. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for the Asics Patriot 13.
I prevously had a pair of gel asics. These are not as comfortable underfoot but are ok for my purposes. I don't think they would be comfortable for running. I have given them 4 stars because the opening is so narrow. What is that about? I have fairly narrow feet but it is difficult to get into these shoes. Ordered online and the delivery was spot on.
I take a 4-4.5 in sandals, and 5 in boots to accommodate fairly thick socks, so consider my size to be a 'small 5' in trainers and boots. However, my big toes touched the ends of these trainers. I would need at least 5.5 , possibly 6. I have quite narrow feet and find some trainers too wide, especially in the toe box, but these felt supportive around the entire length of my feet - and underfoot - when I tried them on carpet. They were clearly too short in length for me, so of course did not try running and cannot comment on them 'in action'. They look quite smart and I'd be happy to wear them for commuting. However, 5.5 and 6 are not in stock now - and sale price has ended. These are great shoes. We walk a lot. I only buy ASICS for my walks. They’ve never failed me. I’ve never had to break a pair in and I’ve never gotten blisters from them. This pair in particular has a really vibrant color and are very comfortable. Would purchase again.
