These are the best, longest lasting, most supportive tennis shoes I’ve gotten from ASICS. I kept wearing out other ASICS in a few months time. The treads wore down fast playing tennis 6X a week and I eventually fractured my foot. My podiatrist told me I’ve got to have great supportive shoes playing tennis so much or I’ll keep fracturing my foot. I bought Resolution 9 last year & they lasted so long & I’ve had no injury. So I bought another pair. My only criticism is the white yellows as time goes by, even when you regularly clean them. The weird thing is only one of the shoes turned yellow~ish this last time. Go figure.

I use these at the gym for CrossFit style exercises and lifting. They are a flatter soles shoe, but still support my arch, so you don’t get that rock that running shoes give you. If I’m standing on one leg I don’t feel like my foot slides or my ankle will roll. They are awesome for starting and stopping, jumping, and lifting. They are a little tight but I actually like that my foot is snug in the shoe. (I have average width feet and small ankles). They fit true to size for me. The feel very durable. I’ve been using these a couple months now 4x a week and they feel great. No break in period required for me!

It's a bit narrow as many other reviews suggest. I used the Asics size suggestion tool and it suggested half a size up my normal size. It was still a bit narrow. I'm not talking about the socky feeling of tennis shoes, which is normal. After relaxing the shoelaces a bit, it was just the right size. Would suggest trying out at a store if possible. Otherwise great shoe.

I don't understand why Asics keeps changing their shoes from comfortable to painful. This is my 2nd pair of the gel resolution 9, because I can no longer buy the 7s, which were much more comfortable. The 9 makes the balls of my feet hurt until I wear them several times to break them in. I had to break in the 8s as well. The older Asics were great, and I could wear them right out of the box with NO PAIN at all. I have hope that these will be OK long term, but by the time I need new shoes, Asics will have ruined these as well.
I've worn ASICS Gel Resolution tennis shoes for years and bought the 9 model for the first time a few weeks ago. They were impossible to get on. Literally. I couldn't slide my right foot into the shoe because of the thin membrane that fits tightly into the sides, making loosening the laces a waste of time. I returned the shoes right away and have had no acknowledgement (other than that the courier collected the parcel). I emailed on 2nd October, received a generic reply with a case number and still haven't heard anything.
Wow, I came across a review mentioning that this shoe is too tight and can cause blisters. Despite this, I overlooked it because I had heard that Gel Resolution shoes are excellent for playing tennis. Having undergone major surgery, I've had ankle issues on my right side. I almost rolled my left ankle too. Therefore, I decided to purchase these shoes. However, to my dismay, although the look is great, they are incredibly painful. My toes go numb, and it's really uncomfortable. The most disappointing part is that I wasn't aware we couldn't return them once they've been worn. I assumed that, ASICS being a company that makes sports shoes, this would be a given. Anyway, I advise you to proceed with caution before making a purchase.
The Gel Resolution 9 has a smaller toe box than Version 8 which I wore comfortably.Not sure why ASICS made the 9 toe box smaller.I had to get the shoes professionally stretched so I could wear it.My feet is medium widthI may need to look for a different brand of tennis/pickleball shoes in the future if ASICS continues to make their shoes tighter in front. I can not get the wide width because of my narrow heel.Just like the 8 the 9 feels plasticky unlike the Gel Kayano running shoes.

I have resolution 6-8. Wanted love this shoe so bad. But it makes my pinky tingling. The shoe has a great overall construction. The box of the shoe is fine with plenty toe room (width and length). The area on the bridge of the foot is like a vice grip which is meaning of DYNAWRAP technology not fit me. I could feel the shoe cutting off my circulation. Just way too tight in that area. I was hoping I could bear the squeeze, but no luck. as it sometime feel better sometime worse of the numbness of the pinky. It feel just like you tie your shoelace to tight. but with the DYNAWRAP you even couldn't lose it. it doesn't have any flexibility.
