Just purchased two of the Gel-excite 10. Very reasonably priced, and, I LOVE the new styling and color choices of this Gel-Excite series. FINALLY! Past color choices really were not my jam so I went with basic black. This is my 3rd time purchasing from this series of shoes and while I've only worn the new pairs a few times, my prior generations really held out way longer than I expected (walker, not a runner). So far the shoes are very comfortable. It's worth noting these do not have a huge cushion effect, which I prefer (too much cushion actually bothers my heels when I'm wearing them for extended periods of time). It does feel like the toe box is a bit wider than in past versions of the shoes, but it may be that I'm just not used to the feel of new shoes. In ... MoreJust purchased two of the Gel-excite 10. In general, I've found that to be true for other brands, also...a bit concerning because my foot is on the narrow side and I hate how the shoes feel/look "scrunched up" when they are too wide and I have to pull the laces abnormally tight. Plus, I dislike the feel that I'm wearing "paddles". I miss the days when some brands worked better for narrower feet! Still, I waited a full year to purchase replacement shoes because I wasn't finding anything I loved and was so excited when I tried these on!!

Fairly new to running. Did c25k a few months back, now do 5k in 30 mins, 3 or 4 times a week. Had a real cheap pair of ASICS which suited me very well to begin with. Finally thought I'd earnt an upgrade. These are a massive improvement! So comfy and well supported. I saw a couple reviews saying to go a size up. I bought true to size (10) and they were pretty snug when I first put them on. Only took a few runs to bed in to being a perfect fit. I'd suggest getting your normal size. Really supportive for beginner runners like me (and I'm still nearly 100kg....)

These low-cost running shoes offer great value for their price. Despite their affordability, they provide decent comfort and durability. The lightweight construction makes them suitable for various running activities. The grip is adequate for most terrains, though it could be improved for more challenging surfaces. The breathable material helps keep feet cool during workouts. While not the most stylish option, they serve their purpose well for casual runners or those on a budget. Overall, they're a decent choice for anyone seeking functional running shoes without spending too much.

First time wearing this model shoe. I am usually a Gel Kyano or GT2100 wearer. These are so far some of the most comfortable shoes I have ever walked in, no breaking in needed. The toe box is roomy, arch support is perfect (I have a high arch), and the heel cup fits snug but not tight. So far I have put in over 50 miles in them since lacing them up for the the first time. For those who said that their toes were wearing through, just go up a 1/2 size and that problem will be completely be eliminated! I would highly recommend, so much so that I bought the same shoe in the hot pink color!
I was looking for a comfy replacement for my previous Asics as they were quite worn out. These new Asics are fantastic! The fit is true to size, (I usually wear an 11). I do a lot of walking and over the past 3 or so weeks these shoes have really held up. Still very comfy. No toe sliding. The toe box is wide enough for my toes, but narrow enough for the rest of my narrow foot. The laces help with getting the right fit there. Length is good with a little bit of extra room in the toe (my preference). Good overall shoe.
I bought these shoes two months ago. I went for a hike in Nepal and have used the predecessor to this shoe (unfortunately I don't know the model) for years for both hiking and running. Now this modle (of 50 euros at the time) were really done for, so I decided to buy the Gel-Excite 10 witch seemed to be the closest to it. During the nepal trip I already saw the first signs of wear and tear. Now in a few places centimetre-long holes have appeared between the foot box and the sole. This is also what ruined my previous shoes. But that pair lasted six years, and theese only two months with similar use. Don't buy these shoes. Look for a brand that does not go along with the degradation of quality like Asics and so many others.
I haven't had Asics in several years. I used to swear by them, but tried out some other brands that I found adequate. I happened to wear an old pair to do yard work it and remembered why I loved Asics so much. I went to DSW to get a new pair, but only found some in my size that were mint green. I didn't love the color, but didn't hate it either. After having the shoes at home in a box for a couple of weeks, I decided I couldn't get on board with the color. I bought the "blue/black" online, and I love them. They are a dark purple with a berry color underneath and light blue design. The comfort of these shoes is amazing. They are soft but also supportive. I typically wear a 9.5 show, but always size up to a 10 in sneakers that I work out in. These fit great. I've also ... MoreI haven't had Asics in several years. I was originally in store not paying any attention to these shoes. I tried the regular brands Nike, Adidas, New Balance, Brooks then saw the cute colors of the ASICS and decided to give it a try. These were by far the most comfortable the most comfortable. I don’t have wide feet but it didn’t squish my feet like the other brands I tried. The toe box is nice and wide making it way more comfortable for walking. I don’t run unless I’m being chased so I can’t review whether they’re good for that or not. It feels like I’m walking on a cloud with perfect support for my arches. I’ve had them two days and haven’t taken them off yet. I’m normally a size 9 in running shoes but had to size down to an 8, almost 7.5 but I like a little room at my toes without my feet shifting.
I am a diehard Asics fan. I have purchased Asics as my go to running shoe since I ran track in high school more than 15 years ago. Even at my peak performance, my Asics always held up for a minimum of 6 months - and that was running an average of close to 40 miles a week. Now, in my 30s with kids and a job, the amount I run has drastically declined. My last pair of Asics took a full year to wear out. This pair was my newest purchase. While I may have upped my running slightly, it's been only 4 months and the interior lining is already threadbare with visible holes in some areas. SO disappointed with this model of shoe as it seems the materials are just cheaper and not as long lasting. I've tried other brands and always come back to my Asics because thet are just that good, but never again would I buy this model/style.
I LOVE these shoes. I have struggled for a long time to find comfortable gym shoes that fit my feet and these are IT. There is plenty of room in the toe box and my feet do not feel squeezed at all. They do run about a half size large as I normally wear an 11 and sized down to a 10.5. The tongue of the shoe is small and does not bunch up or irritate in anyway. I have very narrow heels and these shoes have minimal slippage. Also the top of the shoe is cut low enough that it doesn't poke and irritate the front of my ankle. The cushioning is just perfect and I could walk all day in these shoes. We shall see how the longevity is. All in all, this shoe is amazing and I will never buy a different brand again. I am an asics girl for life now.
