Bought these about a month ago. I run, on average, 30 miles a week. I have been wearing ASICS for 10+ years, and the GT 1000s are always my favorite. I have tried other brands and always come back to these. My step is neutral. My ankles roll slightly in. For these shoes, always buy a size bigger!! I wear a 6.5-7 normally and always get these in a 7.5. They are a tad narrow in the toe box. I love the color of these! Favorite running shoe in a great color!

These are the comfiest shoes I own. They are like walking on clouds and are very supportive yet soft. They look trendy and I love wearing them! I have bought multiple pairs of the GT1000 shoes. Only thing I noticed is that the GT1000 11s are more of a dark navy blue black whereas the 10s were proper black. I’m a whole size up from my normal shoe size as well. (An 8 in Asics but a 7 normally)

I wasn’t able to find GT1000 & GT1000 wide locally so i ordered both pair and found out the regular one suite me better. But I appreciate how wide this is, and how much arch support it provides.My feet are narrow, but have bunion toes, so I need wider toeboxs. For other brands that i tried out, even size up+wide sometimes can be too tight in toebox, otherwise there is no sufficient arch support.GT1000 has the best of both, and the wide is really wide that I think it would work for wide feet + bunion toes.

Hands down the best gym shoes I’ve ever owned. Love the fit, feel and look. I’m an avid walker and occasional jogger. I have bunions which have caused me to get wide widths over the years. The 7.5W fits me perfectly without looking clunky. I have ZERO foot pain with these shoes. Absolutely love the style. The light material gives them a great feel. They go with everything and the purple bottom, my favorite color, gives them a little flair. I have worn a lot of different shoes including ASICS and these shoes are by far the best look and feel.
Having been pleased with previous asics I was optimistic in ordering these. They are advertised specifically for overpronation but they were not supportive for me. One foot is achy and the ankle opposite the overpronated sole is aching as well- it's supporting the foot- not the shoe advertised to do so. The return policy is not helpful- I couldn't know that the support for my overpronation would be negligible until I had worn them (inside on clean floors!) for a few days yet I can't return. Clever policy.
I bought these shoes because I was having lingering knee pain related to overpronation. I decided to try a stability running shoe to see if it helped. I’m happy to report that I’m now able to run comfortably without pain. Plus, these shoes look really stylish. I love the all black design. They are very lightweight, fit comfortably and required no breaking in period. I have narrow feet and I find that they fit well. Very happy with my purchase. A great, reasonably priced running shoe.
I only buy ASICS, Brooks, and Saucony shoes. I am not a runner but do walk long distances on hills every day. I keep coming back to ASICS - they seem to have a more generous toe box for my foot (although I am not a "Wide" in shoes) and are immediately comfortable. This style is listed as Black/White although it is really a very dark charcoal (not black) which is fine with me. Great looking, supremely comfortable, and classic ASICS.
I have purchased many shoes in this series since the GT-1000 9. I have to say in previous series they only lasted 6-9 months before breaking down and that was with alternating 2 pairs. I’ve only had this pair a couple weeks, so only time will tell. Cute colors that stand out against my boring color mandated scrubs. Runs true to asics width but seems a bit longer than my usual size 8, not a deal breaker though. Considering purchasing a regular color to alternate for work.
I waitress part-time and needed a comfortable pair of shoes for work. I had tried some other more expensive catalog brands and also tried on several pairs from various brands at the store. These were not the least expensive but they were the most comfortable. I've been wearing them for a couple weeks now and so far so good. My only criticism is I have to really loosen up all the laces in order to get them on. Once they are on, they are comfortable.
I bought these shoes about 8 months ago. Now my pinky toes and big toes are coming out of the shoe as there are holes in the mesh. I have really thin feet, so the holes surprised me a lot. You would think asics would make a more durable shoe, considering its a running shoe. Not worth the price at all, especially for the amount of time it lasted. My last pair of ASICS lasted me 8 years. So I was very disappointed. I genuinely thought I was investing in a good quality shoe that would last years. It was comfy though. I will stick to leather shoes now, as I think companies are using mesh to reduce shoes lifespan. I have a friend that has the same problem with mesh shoes.
