This is my fourth pair of ASIC GT-1000 Wide and first pair in leather. These are my "go to" joggers for walking the dog and hikes. I love the support for my overpronation. They usually last me a year or so until the sole is too worn down. The leather is definitely tighter fit for beginning couple of uses but doesn't relax and soften to the foot.

Purchased these as my previous Asics had done their time , I walk 10ks a day 5 times a week , so they needed replacing. This time I chose the GT-1000 as they are specifically designed for walking, my previous pair were just standard sneakers and had lost their support due to me ' wearing ' them out after 16 months , so it was long overdue 😁 . I found these a bit snug to begin with due to leather, my previous pair were mesh so felt more roomier.I'm very pleased to say that after a week or two they have become extremely comfortable and I feel extremely supported whilst walking, like walking on air and well cushioned .
I bought this shoe because I am traveling overseas for holidays. I wanted to be comfortable the whole trip ao I invested in getting an asics shoe. It felt soft and cushiony at first but after around 30 mins of walking, there was some pain around my instep arches for both feet. I wonder if there's something poking inside or the material is not good. Anyway,I am very unhappy as this is also the first time buying asics. I am not impressed
Only ever buy Asics and these are my new fave! They're good looking, so comfortable, are robust around the toe (important for walking shoes) and cushion my feet as I knock out 15k steps daily. The light blue accent on these shoes is also really attractive and fresh looking. Have been wearing black Asics for a while so these white runners are a nice addition to my active wear wardrobe.
Bought for work. Wanted leather for safety (in healthcare). Always happy with ASICS for comfort and support. Was a bit concerned that leather option only came in D Wide option as my feet are relatively narrow. But I bit the bullet anyway and turned out to be fine. Both Women's size 6 and Kids size 5 fit me, but I opted for the Women's because I'd prefer Premium Leather over Synthetic for sake of breathability and longevity.
I've had ASICS before and they've been great. These ones have been a nightmare. They rubbed huge, deep blisters along the inner side heel on both feet. They were so painful I had to have them drained, and now (over a week afterwards) I have holes on both sides that are painful when I put pressure on the foot. I have tried everything from replacing the inner soles to using gell pads, anti-friction products, cushioned medical tape, tying my laces looser/tighter etc. I am travelling and am in agony every day as I do not have any other sneakers with me. I am waiting for a spare day where I can visit a shoe shop for an alternative. Total waste of $170.
It's early days and I've only worn my brand new Asics once but the vibe was very positive!They were comfortable and my "feets" were thrilled to be roaming in a wide fitting. The fit was roomy but not loose and my feet were able to lie naturally in the shoe. The shoes are a nice solid construction, I think I'll get plenty of wear out of them. And they are nicely padded and supportive.If I'm really honest I would have liked a better colour range to choose from, even a black upper with a white sole, but that doesn't affect the performance
I recently had the chance to try out these shoes on a long walk, and they performed exceptionally well in that context. The design and construction are clearly optimised for walking, providing a comfortable fit and good support that make extended periods of walking quite pleasant.However, if you plan to stand for extended periods, you might want to look for something with more cushioning to ensure optimal comfort.
