I wanted a walking shoe with great support and padding that would allow me to walk for hours comfortably. I have not purchased any ASICS walkers, could not find any I liked on RRS, for a long time, and decided to give this one a try. A real improvement versus shoes I've purchased before from ASICS. More supportive and so comfortable.

I walk and workout 5-7 days a week and buy about 3 pairs of gym shoes a year. I have been buying the GT-2000 series for the last 3 years and love them. This is my favorite of them all so far.
Perfect fit every time. I need a wide toe box, but a narrow heel, and motion control. Love this shoe.
Good fit. I purchased the GT-2000 to replace the Asics Kayano 27 (and previous models). The Kayano have since changed, and the change is not good. They now have a very bulky sole and they feel different on the foot. Well, the GT-2000 is fairly close to the Kayano models I previously loved, and it will likely become my go-to running shoe (marathon running).
I work 12hr shifts, and what a relief!! I have wide over pronated feet. My feet is not tiered and or achy!! No more suffering, seriously. I usually get steroid shots in my great toe, but maybe I dont have to anymore. With the support, my big toe doesn’t take the weight and need to push off when picking up speed. And, that was because I my over pronation! Talk about achy achy feet!!!!
I’ve tried brooks, hokas, Nike, everything and truly nothing compares to these shoes. I have wide feet and in other shoes I can feel my toenails getting ready to fall off cause the toe box is so uncomfortable. But not these. I can run 12 miles perfectly fine or do a speed workout! Very versatile and not talked about enough! If you’re looking for a nice running shoe look no farther!
Love these going on my second pair. I did a full marathon in these. Getting another pair to break in before my next big race's
Very comfortable and supportive for running. These shoes have really helped with the splints I was developing from running. Only downside is that I find the heels get a little hot from the gel.
