The GT-2000 v12 is perfection! Soft, stable, and lightweight. I tried the Kayano 30 but it was too soft, and clunky. This is a good alternative to any Kayano fans that do not like the new revamping of the shoe. I have been dealing with a mild post tib tendonitis and plantar fasciitis, and the GT-2000 did not aggravate any of these conditions while running in them.

My feet are very comfortable in my new pair of ASICS. Small improvements ,from my last pair which were vs 10, that make a difference. Enjoying my ASICS very much! Fleet Feet has been very helpful in making recommendations for the right shoe for my feet.

I always buy a full size bigger than I need so I can fit two foot cushion/supports inside. This is lively and wide- we wide footed people are SORELY underserved….. thus does the trick . Only reason I downgraded one star was the lack of color in a stripe etc…… like the black sole and foot covering…. But a colored pin stripe or swip would help to make this not look like a retirement shoe .

Toe box is fine. Overall volume is tight. I need to loosen the laces to accommodate my foot volume. That makes it difficult to use the last set of eyelets to lock down my heel. More volume or longer laces would help. The construction of the shoe appears solid and after 30 miles there isn’t any visible wear on uppers or sole. Plenty of cushioning and stability for walking.
I've been wearing this shoe model and running 5 miles 4 times per week for years and it's been great. Now they've changed the design and I have instant back, knee, and shin pain. The heel is too thick or high and the shoe forces you to fall forward. I also have foot arch pain due to lack of arch support. They won't accept a return without a label attached?!! How can I test them with a label on? The outcome? Not shopping with Asics again, after years as a loyal customer. Very disappointing for $110, and now I have to find another pair and pay again with a different maker. Sucks.
I've been running in another brand of shoe for 20 years. I decided to see what was new in the world of running shoes and went to my local RR store for a fitting. Well, the fit technology they used was terrible, but the store clerk was very knowledgeable and suggested this shoe. I tried it, as well as the newest version of my tried-and-true, and I decided to give this one a shot. It's plush, comfortable, no blisters, no pain points, provides a lot of stability.
While the shoe continues its improvements from season to season, one “improvement” is NOT appreciated. The tongue on this shoe is a vast departure from standard cushioned tongues and has been replaced with a very thin tongue with the tiniest bit of engineered cushioning. This consistently causes irritation, to the point of feeling bruised. I hope this experiement in refining the shoe and shaving off fractions of an ounce at the expense of comfort over long distances is abandoned.
Went back to Asics after several years with Brooks. I always run in low or no show socks. New tongue design has unfinished neoprene edge. Test run on treadmill noticed irritation of tongue against instep. Adjust tongue and resume test. Stopped in less than mile as tongue has drawn blood across instep. Had no such issues with earlier models with the padded tongue edge. Would not recommend with no show socks.
I've been a fan of the GT-2000's for a long time but this iteration is about to have me looking for a new go to shoe. My favorite version was the 9...this 12 version is so big I've had to go down a full size. Cushioning is amazing but what's with the change in sizing. Visibly noticeable when placed next to my 9 and 10 versions.
These were the shoes that were supposedly best for my feet based on the scan. They are supposedly not rockers. They were extremely uncomfortable and my knee was in extreme pain after wearing these. Sadly, I had to return them.
