I was unsure of chamois cream but before going for a weeks cycling holiday I was strongly recommended to get some and this brand in particular. The use of chamois cream is a bit of a taboo subject, especially when there aren't many female cyclists around to ask! From what I found and the bit of advice I scrounged; apply liberally to your skin in areas that might rub on the saddle. Some even put it on their shorts inside padding too. Don't be shy!I am very glad I used the cream as I believe it prevented me getting sores on the longer days (over 80km), a few others on the trip got sores which made it really uncomfortable on the following cycling days. A few of them will be using it next time.

Best Chamois cream

We all know why Assos chamois cream is great - qualities of soothing, cleansing and softening the skin and reduce friction on long bike rides. I bought this product because of the size. It is a tiny box perfect to travel for bikepacking. It does not take much space and you can hide it in your bikepacking bags. Also it is 75ml so you can also take it on flights.

Cool Comfort

Just finished a large tub of another brand which was good value and lasted 2-3 hours but you needed a lot of it. So far this Assos Chamois Creme has been more effective and you don't need as much. There's no "pong" and no instant "hit" but it does work and lasts too. Follow suggestions and smear a light amount onto the pad where it normally gives you a bit of aggro and rub in a light application for yourself. It was only when I had finished my first 50 mile ride using it that I realised I had not experienced any discomfort at all. Bit like a super light and comfortable pair of shades when you forget you are wearing them if you see what I mean. Good stuff

Unfortunately I'm someone who seems to be rather susceptible to getting saddle sores. As such I wouldn't be without a chamois cream of one sort or another and I've been using this Assos one for years.The formula has clearly changed over the years. When I first started buying it the cream was the colour of butter. Then it changed to a rather fetching pale blue colour. Now its more-or-less pure white with a slightly thicker consistency. It's still the same Assos quality, though, and definitely hits the spot, so to speak. It may be a little on the expensive side but I find that one pot will easily last a year so in terms of value that doesn't seem unreasonable.

I love Assos Chamois Creme. I've been using it for several years, and have not had a single instance of chafing or blistering over thousands of miles in all kinds of weather - hot, cold, rainy, humid, and ride distances up to 125 mi. I go through about 150 ml/yr, so the annual expense is reasonable. It washes off cleanly with soap and water and does not stain clothing.Wish Competitive Cyclist stocked the 200 ml jars.

I love my Assos

Nothing soothes your gusset like Assos' Chamois Cream. I was almost screaming in agony following an eight-and-a-half hour offroader in July. My backside felt like chopped liver until applying a generous scoop this magically cooling balm. Hits th depot every time!

Quality

Excellent chamois cream. Not sticky. Works well even on hot days. Does the job. Do yourself a favour and get this on yourself to stop the chaffing.

Thick cream

I have only used DZ Nutz and decided to try this. I like how thick the cream is and it seems to last a long time, I only gave 4 stars because compared to Nutz this is plain cream. The Nutz cream has so many other things in it that make the bottom feel wonderful that anything else doesn't compare.

This is the real deal

I had some chafing issues despite liberal use of the chamois "butter" you may know of. This stuff is next level. Stays in a way the squeezable stuff doesn't. Highly recommended.

We've all tried the others, now try the best!

This is simply the best chamois cream on the market. Its not gulpy or sticky like other brands leaving oily marks on your shorts or chamois after washing and does what it should do, and stops the friction between your skin and your shorts!
