Found the Kann Max to be immaculately engineered & not sharp to the touch on corners as some reviewers have said, but stunningly sharp, in looks. It does take some burning in to smooth out the edgy detailed sound & to establish a solid blue-tooth connection to phone. After some burn in time, the sound is warmer full bodied & punchy with an awesome base underpinning the scale & spectrum of the tonal ranges. I have only had this piece of kit about four days and there are so many features I will be playing with it for weeks to come.Most important is the sound which is why any one would buy a player. It is much deeper , more natural and clearer than anything else I have heard.In the shop I was able to partner with a pair of Focal headphones ( these are about £1200) but what a sound.
