The AK PA10 from Astell&Kern is a purely analogue portable headphone amplifier. It has a Class A output stage and 3.5 mm and 4.4 mm inputs and outputs. With its analogue circuitry, the AK PA10 delivers a particularly smooth, warm and natural sound without the slightest distortion. To control the power supply, the AK PA10 has a switch to adjust the class A output current in three steps - to suit your headphones or earphones. In addition, the AK PA10 incorporates TERATON ALPHA sound technology, which uses effective noise reduction, efficient power management and very lifelike amplification to generate a sound quality that is uncannily close to the original sound. Since headphones separate the left and right channels, this can lead to greater fatigue during prolonged listening compared to listening through speakers. For this reason, Astell&Kern has integrated the Crossfeed function into the AK PA10. This mixes part of the signals from one channel and sends them to the opposite channel with a slight delay, creating a more central and natural sound that resembles the sound of a speaker system and therefore delivers a particularly fatigue-free sound. Crossfeed is generated exclusively by hardware circuitry and not by software. This results in a sophisticated smooth crossfeed effect with an authentic sound with a lot of spaciousness, liveliness and lightness. Crossfeed can be switched on and off as required. The AK PA10 is equipped with a space-saving volume control knob that allows precise volume adjustment. The integrated rechargeable battery provides approx. 12 hours of running time on one charge.
