Once finally installed, it has been great so far, (first hour or so in WOW has been a great improvement) but..the installation was a nightmare! Took me 2 days to actually get it to work. The problem was the almost complete lack of real installation instructions. The issue was the 8 pin connector and what led (or not) was showing. There was nothing in the instructions to tell you whether the power was there or not. My old card had 2 x 6 pin and these had 2 x green leds to show they were working. This card showed a red led - but because there are no instructions of any worth, I did not know that what I actually needed was no led light at all! That I finally got it working was therefore a miracle, especially since the ASUS website also had very little help either.So ... This is an excellent GPU. Very good quality. The ASUS brand of the Dual RTX4080 has a little bigger heat sink than the Gigabyte brand of the Dual RTX 4080 and the ASUS brand runs a little cooler. Easy installation. I wish it had a little more than 8GB of ram for the $300+ price, but so far it has not stopped me from playing any of my games. I would recommend this graphics card.

I could not be happier with the performance upgrade I received after installing this GPU! Great piece of equipment. It is literally plug & play. Have an older setup? No problem, pci slots are still the standard. Though you may not be able to obtain full functionality due to the processing power of your cpu along with the capabilities of your motherboard. It will still work to the maximum effect your computer can possibly handle. Which is nice.
Long story short for Christmas a few years ago I got a pre built desktop pc and it sucked to say the least. Sense then I’ve started to get into photography and videography and for that it’s wonderful and works great at 4k 120 the troubles start playing games. It’s not awful it performs decent at decent quality. But having task manager up on another screen shows that it’s struggling. It stays between 60-90% bouncing off depending on the amount of movement on my screen. Yes it’s smooth but it dosent mean it’s not rough. I’ve been able to get it to 250-260 consistently on low graphics modes. Higher end it’s ok for around 120-144 fps. I’ve paired it with a i5 12600k Samsung 990 pro ssd and 2x16gb Corsair ram. I ordered the card on Thursday, got a ship notice Friday, and it was delivered, well packed and padded, on Monday, using free five day shipping.The card is amazingly fast for its price. I chose this config because it's short enough (in length) to fit into a mini-tower case. The fans are very quiet - I was ready for a leaf blower, and that's not what happened. It takes a single 8-pin connector. The current drivers run without issue. No crashes or problems of any kind. The only odd thing about it is that it has three Display Port connectors and only one HDMI. I assume that that's to save money on HDMI royalties. But it doesn't matter to me. Outstanding in all respects.
Reliable almost to a fault compared to faster cards with less memory....But must be understood in its function compared to the general mind set of card users. The smooth stability and function of this GPU more than makes up for the falts of the touchy so-called faster cards...It just WORKS! every time -all the time.even on older systems like mine. I use it for X-Plane 12 and DCS World flight simulation. My rig is a Dell 9020 optiplex MT with an i7 4790K CPU, 32mb DDR3 RAM, 2TB ssd main and 2TB ssd storage drives., Corsair RM750X 750 watt PSU. Snoother and with better frame rates than my GTX 1080 ti........Don't believe the naysayers...!!
The unit is an upgrade from my previous rtx 3060 12gb. seems to perform better but i have been having some audio issues where the speakers crackle sometimes. I do believe this card is slightly overpriced like others have mentioned. This card would be an amazing card if they could bring the price down. Ill put it this way. if all you can afford is 400 bucks this this card is the way to go. if you can dish out the 530 for the 4070 msi walmart sales would be better with is 12gb of vram in my opinion.
Love this card ! I replaced a gtx 1650 and WOW what a difference . I thought because I could play games I wasn’t missing out but boy was I wrong . I would have bought a video card sooner had I known games would be this much better . Very happy with my purchase .I went to buy a bigger monitor and a friend suggested I upgrade the video card . If it wasn’t for him I would have went home with a new monitor instead and stuck with the old card . So glad I didn’t .
i’ve honestly never had an issue when it comes to customer service as i’m quite respectful during these altercations, however this one really made me back track. this item is tax free for back to school weekend due to it being a computer part, however i was charged taxes and asked the worker why that was, he dismissed me so i just called online support to get verification. ofc i’m told its supposed to be tax free and so he tells me to go into any store and go ahead and receive a refund since i wasn’t supposed to be charged taxes. i go in store to the 151 Pembroke Pines, FL location and the lady at the CS desk loses her absolute marbles when i tell her it was not supposed to be taxed. she then lies and says “we’ll anything over 400 is taxed for BTS weekend” and i say ...
