I recently purchased this keyboard, and overall, it has been an excellent experience. The Red RX switches produce a pleasant sound that isn't too loud. Love the form factor, the feeling, and the appearance of the keyboard. After working with this keyboard for 9 months, I do run into issues with keys being typed twice. This is a known problem with mechanical keyboards but never had an issue with 2 other non-wireless keyboards. At the price point Azoth, I would expect nothing but a perfect product, or at least a something that is not frustrating.I've cleaned the keyboard a few times, and replaced switches. However, the double entry problem comes back within a few weeks.1 Star - Double keying issue (very annoying)1 Star - Design choice: Home key / End key are weird to use. And I use them often (I'm a programmer by trade)
The ROG Falchion RX Low Profile keyboard is truly an impressive device. I'm particularly impressed with its low-profile design, which makes typing more comfortable and reduces response time. The tactile feel of the ROG RX Blue or ROG RX Red mechanical switches provides flexibility for users to choose according to their personal preferences. The features of 2.4GHz wireless and Bluetooth connectivity allow me to easily switch between devices without cluttering my workspace. The built-in rechargeable battery enables long-term use without worrying about charging. The ability to customize RGB lighting via Asus's Armory Crate software also creates a bright and stylish workspace or gaming environment. However, the absence of a basic numeric keypad may be a limitation for ... MoreThe ROG Falchion RX Low Profile keyboard is truly an impressive device. The ability to customize RGB lighting via Asus's Armory Crate software also creates a bright and stylish workspace or gaming environment. However, the absence of a basic numeric keypad may be a limitation for some users, especially those who frequently use this feature for work or gaming. Additionally, the price of this product is relatively high compared to regular mechanical keyboards, which may make it less suitable for users with budget constraints.Overall, with its unique features and design, the ROG Falchion RX Low Profile keyboard is an excellent choice for users demanding performance and convenience in gaming and work. However, the absence of a numeric keypad and the high price may require careful consideration for some potential buyers.
I did a lot of YouTube research before purchasing this keyboard, and it seems like a perfect option for me. I must preface this review by stating that I am not someone accustomed to custom keyboards, but out of the box, this one does feel great and sounds good. For someone that is a noob to custom keyboards, I have to say that this one is probably a great starter. It is swift and responsive for gaming and general use. Honestly, my only complaint or wish is that I wish that the LCD panel was colored and that there were more preset options for animations (or the option to choose my own..as das I know at this time there isn’t the option to add my own). This is a great keyboard, has real nice colours and the keys are quite light to press and they sound great when pressed. The wireless seems to work flawlessly aswell HOWEVER my only gripe is the numberpad isnt wireless. It HAS to be connected to the keyboard on either the left or right side. Which isnt mentioned anuwhere in any ads for this keyboard. I bought it thinking i could seperate the number pad and use it for my left hand to game with and have it SEPERATED from the keyboard. But you cannot do that. It has to be atatched to the keyboard. If ASUS/ROG could make it fully wireless or even have a usb slot it can pair to the keyboard with on the top of the num pad so you can have it completely seperated and use it that would be epic.
As someone who had never used a mechanical keyboard before, this feels like quite the leap. It feels so nice. My previous keyboard was a full size board, so the change from that to this smaller 75% board is taking some getting used to.It's very compact, but also quite heavy. I love that you can use this in either wireless, bluetooth or wired modes and, while I haven't tried it, I believe it allows the ability to effectively connect 5 different devices (3 via bluetooth, one for wireless and one wired) and swapping between modes with the switch on the back. The 2.4Ghz wireless dongle in the back of the keyboard was a little bit tricky to remove with my big fingers and no ridges or even dimples made it hard to get a good grip on it with fingernails. The OLED screen ... MoreAs someone who had never used a mechanical keyboard before, this feels like quite the leap. The 2.4Ghz wireless dongle in the back of the keyboard was a little bit tricky to remove with my big fingers and no ridges or even dimples made it hard to get a good grip on it with fingernails. The OLED screen is a great touch, though I'm not sure how much I will actually use it for anything other than having a gif playing on it. Speaking of gifs: The pixel area is something small, like 260x56px, so finding gifs that will fit onto the screen properly is difficult and you will most likely be cropping them and hoping the best parts fit in the rectangle field. The Armoury Crate software makes it super easy to preview and change the images, though, and has a few default animations to choose from. I would like to see ROG perhaps add more animations that are made to fit into the OLED screen field in the future. The screen is also black and white. Images and animations do look great on the screen, however I would have preferred a colour screen, or at least the option to switch it between black and white or colour if this was an aesthetics choice by ASUS. And while we're on the topic of colour, the LED lighting is nice and bright with quite a few options to choose from in the software to customise to your liking. The ability to sync the lighting to other compatible devices is something I will probably be looking forward to utilising in the future, too.Being fully customisable is probably the main attraction of the keyboard. The package comes with a full station equipped with tools for removing keycaps and switches, as well as a few spare switches to practice taking apart and putting back together, or adding extra lube, with the tools provided in the box. Whilst I don't think I will be swapping out or modifying this board soon, as I'm enjoying it as it is. it is great that the option is there should I want to venture into the world of keyboard modifying and I'm sure it's one that the hardcore enthusiasts out there will appreciate.Overall the keyboard feels great, it looks great, the keycaps feel slightly textured and not as slippery as some other keyboards I've used and the lights are bright and clear and typing feels like a much nicer experience than what I've been used to with membrane keyboards in the past. I would certainly recommend this keyboard to other people. It's a great little unit.
Love the layout of this keyboard as a gamer. Very compact but with everything you need from a full size keyboard. I'm using it for work and gaming and it performs really well in both environments. Feels very premium and it weighs a lot more than I expected. Very solidly built. The OLED screen is a good resolution and a nice little addition on a keyboard for monitoring system temps etc. The bits you get in the box are very impressive compared to other keyboards I've had, a really complete package. The only thing that lets it down is the software which sometimes just decides it isn't going to work - luckily its not something you need very often. Overall I'm really pleased with it and would recommend it.
I love this keyboard. It's comfortable enough for using on my lap on the couch and also at a desk. I got the blue NX keys and they feel choppy and crisp when typing. The red mechanical switches would have been my first choice but they were out of stock. This feels and behaves like a quality product and I am using this keyboard to type this review and the typing experience does feel premium. There is definitely a feeling of quality control behind this product. I can say that I am a new keyboard enthusiast and I find it refreshing that I will be able to change the switches out if my preferences changes. The blue switches do require a little bit more force for my taste, but that could be due to my aging fingers. The lighting effects I am enjoying. I am still learning ... MoreI love this keyboard. The blue switches do require a little bit more force for my taste, but that could be due to my aging fingers. The lighting effects I am enjoying. I am still learning how to use the associated software and it is less than self explanatory but for the tech savvy it shouldn't pose too much trouble. The OLED screen is indeed a great feature. I found that it was very simple to change the GIF on it to anything that suited my tastes. It was pricey for this keyboard, but, I am satisfied in knowing that I won't be replacing it any time soon and it will be able to endure the abuse that I normally give to keyboards. I value that I can disassemble it and repair it if needed or if there is a mishap. The battery life on it has been splendid. I am very satisfied with my purchase and it feels like it is worth the praise that I have been seeing in reviews on it.
