I chose the X670E GENE because the features it brought (see below) turned out to be the perfect board for me.I also wanted to finally switch from Intel to AMD after more than 6 years. So far I'm quite happy with the board, thanks to the angled connectors I had no problems installing the board, let alone connecting it.The board also offers all the features that may play a certain role in the future (e.g. PCI 5.0).Since I've been an ASUS customer for many years, I wasn't disappointed, as always, the board is definitely very expensive for this price, but so far it serves its purpose and does an excellent job!I am currently very satisfied with the ASUS products!

I also would like to add that Galaxus have been great - great choice of PC components online, fast deliveries, great packing, easy returns and responsive help desk. Bought this mother board "new and tested" - the box had been opened and returned, quality checked by Galaxus, and came to me as new with no problems, everything in the box, all works great - and nothing out of order at all. Recommend "new and tested".
Good choice. The only drawback is that there’s no shield on the MB as it is on, say, ROG Formula
Who said mATX was dead? I’ve always loved the form factor of mATX and some of my favourite boards from the past were GENE models (most notable the Rampage III and the MAXIMUS VII GENE that I both owned and still do!). For a while I thought ASUS had killed off the GENE lineup as it hadn’t been seen for a few generations. When I heard there was an AM5 model coming I had to have it! First things first, of course it’s not cheap. Like everything these days we could argue about the price, but given it’s a high end specific board, you are buying one of these specifically because you want it so you makes your choice and all that, there are of course some cheaper alternatives. Like everything these days we could argue about the price, but given it’s a high end specific board, you are buying one of these specifically because you want it so you makes your choice and all that, there are of course some cheaper alternatives. Feature wise it’s very good, it has an amazing overkill VRM, allows for PCIE 5.0 on the GPU and 1x NVME, plus in total allows for 3x NVME which is a big win on a compact board. It also has start button on board and a post code readout. It has tons of high end features specifically for overclocking which are way above my head these days. Aesthetically it’s really nice, all black with some great details. The BIOS is excellent, ASUS BIOS in terms of UI and ease of use is still the best. Another AM5 board I have (Gigabyte x670e master) is clunky and slow in comparison. The only negatives I can draw really are the high price point for a board of this size and the most frustrating of all, the board only has 3 PWM fan headers, 2 of which are CPU and CPU OPT. This makes things difficult, not impossible, but trickier than I would have liked. One more additional PWM header would have been a lifesaver. Overall though, it’s excellent, unique, and can be the basis of a very high end and feature packed compact build.
