Quite a powerful MoBo with lots of options to upgrade. 4 fan headers was quite nice as well (exc CPU headers). Mine came with bios 0401 which is somewhat older bios so you may want to upgrade. Furthermore, it was lacking the driver for Wi-Fi so you cannot connect to the internet until you set up everything and copy the file from another system. Also, you need DDR5!

Great board with lots to offer. Currently hindered by a Bios that doesn't want to activate XMP on my DDR5 6000 Trident Z5 unless you use a workaround...which isn't what you want to be doing with a high end board. I'm sure Asus will sort this shortly and it'll be everything I expected. Still feels worth the money.
I spent a lot of time study all the different motherboards. I have bought 2 ROG 6 to 8 years ago and they are still going strong today so I knew I wanted to stick with this brand. It was pricey compare to the others but you pay for what you get. The board is beautiful, powerful, the material that it is made out is strong well built for heat to disperse from the video card and all the components. I know I will never max out all of it's abilities. I have years of possibilities with it.
There are lots of features on this board, the strix-e may be best for most high-end gamers, but I purchased this so I can use a M.2 Gen5 without throttling the GPU into Gen 4 (4090).
The rog board has so many features don't know if I will ever max any of it. It purrs and is quiet I love it.
This thing is a beauty and well optioned with USB, SATA and M.2. It is such a handsome and well performing motherboard in every way. Best to read the reviews as it's not the cheapest but in my opinion, well worth every cent.
Paired with a 13900ks and 32GB Corsair DDR5 Vengeance PC5-57600, the speeds are epic and have had no issues at all.
Regarding connectors, there are slightly fewer USB than my old X570 hero, but faster standard instead. 790 is heavier than X570 because of all the armor. The new M.2 connectors are good, so you don't have to keep track of a screw, also several places like that. The button to release the card in the first PCI-e slot is also a very nice feature, especially with today's monster graphics cards (4090.) Screen looks very luxurious. Combine with a water block or AIO on the CPU and it looks extremely nice. Have run memories of at least DDR5 6000+ MT/s without problems.
