Just received my new router, and I'm impressed even before opening it. The box quality is excellent, with no signs of damage or wear. It arrived perfectly intact, which is always a good sign. The packaging seems to be designed with protection in mind, ensuring the router stays safe during transit. Can't wait to open it up and see what's inside. If the care taken with the packaging is any indication, I have high hopes for the router itself. Overall, very satisfied with the initial impression.

ASUS TUF Gaming AX4200 Dual Band Wi-Fi 6 Gigabit

ASUS Routers always get the job done well but as the title says this way better than expected. Gaming and editing PC upstairs was getting 500mb download (of the 960mb I pay for) since owning this my connection has rocketed to an average of 918mb download - Wireless connection too to clarify*. Easy to install and connect, took minutes. Would purchase again in a heartbeat

Asus has another winner!

I like the aggressive case looks, logo and antenna inserts. So far it has been very solid. I've always liked the Asus interface and this one includes a traffic analyzer, which is great. I'm upgrading from a different Asus WiFi6 router that I wasn't sure was going to last but it has done great. I upgraded to this model and turned the other into a Mesh Node, which took about one minute!Team Asus, thank you for the great user interface. This model was able to load my previous configuration with zero issues. I reviewed all settings and some that were not options in the previous model. All was good and after a reboot everything worked like nothing had changed! That saved me a lot of time.I'm very happy with the performance, looks and features!

Faulty Router

The device is experiencing several technical issues. Firstly, only one out of the four CPUs is functional, resulting in significantly slower Wi-Fi speeds. The Wi-Fi connection is also unstable, frequently displaying a "connected without internet" message. Additionally, the device emits a Morse code signal consisting of 12 flashes followed by one solid flash. While I would like to utilize the device, I am unable to return it due to the absence of a receipt. If the problem is not software-related, I kindly request information regarding the faulty component so that I can attempt to repair it myself and restore its functionality.

Good router, jammy app

Replaced a Google nest mesh setup that kept dropping devices. This doesn't do that, and can keep up quite nice speeds. It also has enough LAN ports to not need an extra switch in the home office. Setup was made harder by the android app, which allowed me to brick the router with an unsupported password (factory reset was needed). Configuration via a computer connected on the LAN by going to "asusrouter.com" went perfectly and after updating firmware and password, the android app works well too, and is genuinely helpful for troubleshooting patchy WiFi spots.

Not meeting my kid's messaging restrictions

This is my 2nd ASUS router after RT-AC88U. 1 thing I have always wanted is for ASUS to clarify the following questions which to date have not been answered despite the case I have logged before.1. How do I block all kinds of messaging applications or browser-based like Google Chat, Apple iMessage, Instagram, SnapChat, TikTok and many others on my kid's MacBook Air?It defeats my purpose of a reputable ASUS router when the basic needs are not met.Please let me know. Outstanding in every respect!

LOVE this router! In a single storey home on a quarter acre (1,000 sqm) block I get wifi everywhere. Even at a distance I still get my maximum subscribed download speed (100MB) just about everywhere inside the house and most places outside too. It was easy to set up and I had no issues getting my wifi back up and running. Found the led lights a bit annoying but was glad to find I could set the WPS button to act as a led on/off button - it's in in the settings and was a simple fix! The router runs cool and has ample LAN/WAN/USB connection options for most users. I highly recommend this unit!

Solid performance, many options, WiFi average

This is a great router for those who don’t do much gaming but want additional performance. The quad 2Ghz CPU and 512k memory are the key things that differentiate this from the slightly less able ASUS routers. The software is pretty much the standard ASUS fare, by that I mean it’s really good and many options to tailor your network and clients. The WiFi is not quite as good as I was expecting, for example my ring door bell is at the furthest point on 2Ghz and doesn’t see the SSID, whereas my older TP-Link Archer C2300 had no bother. WiFi 5 and 6 are ok but it feels the signal quality has been forfeited for the extra CPU and memory power. Would recommend a WiFi 6 USB adapter with aerials for Laptops to get the best out of it.
