Asus TUF Gaming VG27AQL1A 27in 170Hz WQHD HDR G-Sync Compatible Monitor

I have learned this monitor can NOT be HDR capable when the input is Display Port 1.2 . It is mentioned at en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DisplayPort#cite_note-DP_1.4 and other places that 1.4 is required for HDR so none of the monitors stating HDR can be if they use DP 1.2 ! When it is turned on in windows 10 the screen goes very dark for some reason too . I am disappointed with my purchase as there are multiple issues like with 10 BIT on 120FPS is the max FPS . Something is wrong and very scamy here from ASUS . With 10 bit turned off and not using the Fake HDR the screen is decent and runs @144Hz nicely . I would Advise anyone purchasing this not to expect a HDR monitor and for 10bit colour to be activated 120fps is the max . This was the perfect monitor for my needs! at 27 inches, this is the perfect size monitor for gaming as it sits about a foot away from my face, and the Pixel density is high, making this monitor feel more like a 4k monitor. The refresh rate is amazing at 144hz and then it overclocks to 170 on displayport! the color and HDR is amazing and it has a bunch of other features. I personally have the monitor on a VESA mount but the stand it came with is really nice, ergonomic and aesthetically pleasing! if you're in the market for a 1440p 144hz monitor that isnt cheap and isnt going to break the bank, i suggest getting this one!

Built a new setup recently and needed a new monitor to go along with it. This has been a great upgrade from my previous monitors! ( Granted, those where 6+ years old so anything was an upgrade ) I do plan on eventually getting another since I have a dual set up.All of the ASUS in monitor settings are nice and easily set through the on screen menu. It's great having an FPS counter when first playing a game to make sure it keeps up. I swap between settings often since I use the same monitor to work from home and game in the after hours. There's also an application if that's more your style. Lastly, two of the buttons can be customized to change whatever settings you want, which is nice too.Small critique, I do wish it was easier to change inputs. You can't set it either of the custom buttons to swap and have to use the back joystick. I've gotten used to it now, but it was annoying at first.
