I like the size of the phone which is very handy yet performs well, looks and feels good in hand, not a fan of the back cover of the phone, does not make the phone look premium. Battery lasts for 2 days with avg 5-7 hrs on screen on time (not a gamer) including 30-45 mins of calls per day. Asus customized UI is good but glitchy at times for example the home-back-recent buttons at the bottom doesn't show up while YouTube is open at certain times no matter the effort to pull it up, it shows up after screen off-on using power button. Back Camera is okay-ish but I don't mind, I know certain picture processing quality can be improved with software patch, again not sure how committed Asus is to do that given it supports only 2yrs of OS updates. Overall it serves the purpose of a smart phone very well.

Hi there,Actually I’m really the big fan of Zenfone Asus Malaysia smartphone since it was launch for model zenfone 2 and I collect all the model since then except on which there are certain model are not coming into Malaysia market which I’m quite disappointed some point. As a user for this zenfone 8, I find quite amusing and enjoy of using it. The reason its blocking the full view at that screen when the selfie camera is at the right corner there.2. With this current zenfone 8, this phone are quite hot heat when using it continuously especially when using to open the camera, social media and so on. Hope Asus can fix it on the next model or coming with the model that have ventilation for heat are coming out from the phone.3. Hope can improve on big scale of battery capacity even I know this small compact highly spec cannot be done because it was small compact phone and can’t put large enough of battery, but anything is possible, and I believe in Asus of improvement.4. Hope on the next coming zenfone model are coming into Malaysian market. (This really need to take note for Asus Malaysia as me one of the big fans of zenfone smartphone)5. I give 5 star for this zenfone 8 and hope more improvement can be made and also are coming to malaysian market for the next series of zenfone smartphone.

Things like photo and video capturing, web browsing, communicating, and visual media entertainment consumption are well encapsulated to a satisfactory level. Though there are some of the features that have the opportunity to be polished and optimized has come to disappoint me as a user that join the late bandwagon.ASUS File Manager's PC File Transfer feature does solve the issue for the need of dongle and cables when you have the device connected to the same Wi-Fi connection. However, I personally hoped that a HTTPS connection are used instead of only just HTTP connection. Plus, the connection can be disrupted as your phone enters 'Sleep mode' that switches PC File Transfer off while file transferring is in progress.Battery Care feature can be further improved on by implementing a stop charging function instead of always keeping the battery charge level at 80% at all times after the charging limit is set. (Unless it does stop charging at 80% and uses power supplied from the charging brick instead). There can also be an additional option where user is able to set the "Start charging limit" to enable the phone to only start charging when it reaches the set level.Auto-start Manager is unable to prevent bloatwares from auto-starting.Does not have an option to enable "Caffeine mode" where the screen can be left on for long period of time usage without having physical touch interaction.

The title is real, and I couldn't believe it! ASUS of all brands solved the one problem with every single modern phone camera system. The OIS! Asus ditched conventional OIS and replaced it with a proper no cheating gimbal system. This means the image or video will never have warping artifacts as seen on others. It is remarkably stable, incredibly versatile and can record in indefinite sessions. The battery life doesn't suffer significantly either while performing this, I got through a whole concert and recorded over 2 hours of nonstop 4k60fps video and the battery only got down to 35% but I didn't even start at 100%.But there's just a few things I have that need to be looked at and features I want to have added.1. There seems to be some kind of issue when the phone is exposed to high brightness situations, as I was flying on a jet I wanted to capture some footage of the outside and it ended up being the case where out the window (bright sun) the phone would hitch ever few seconds but bringing the phone back inside solved this. So something is happening with the shutter speed and not being able to keep up with the camera or something. I am no expert but I know it needs to really crank the shutter to keep the brightness under clipping. So please do look at what is wrong here.I would like to request the feature of disabling the stabilizer, you have options for "no stabilization" "Stabilization" and "Hypersmooth."They do perform different actions and I believe the correlation here is NS means No EIS (electronic stabilization) and the stabilization setting enables moderate EIS, hypersmooth being an extreme version of EIS. I usually use no stabilization and rely only on the gimbal to smooth everything, which works incredibly well and I love it because it lets me have the maximum viewing angle. But I want a way to turn it off too, in case I want to mount the phone to an external gimbal I don't want to have them fighting each other (in practice it seems fine but changes in panning results in a slight jerk.) I know it is possible to do this because all the slow motion modes have their gimbal disabled and motion is jerky. So I can get away with using 4k120fps as long as I have sufficient light. But anyway ASUS, this phone is amazing and if you can touch on those two minor gripes you have yourself a VERY capable camera and phone combo. I will be recommending this to people, and creating some kind of review around why this camera system is truly special.
The Asus Zenfone 10 is a perfect compact and beautiful powerhouse. The Zenfone 10 hits all the marks of a high end smartphone at a more affordable price. There truly is no negative points to this phone, so I'll just focus on the positives. It has a popping , colorful display with enough brightness to see in direct sunlight with the addition of a 90 Hz, 120 Hz, and 144 Hz for super smooth gaming or media consumption. The Zenfone 10 has an amazing battery rated at 4300 mAh that lasts the entire day and can even last well into the next one. The speakers have great sound seperation, depth and fullness to make any track or video sound booming! Moving on to the cameras I have never seen a better stabilized phone camera than the one on this phone. Moving on to the cameras I have never seen a better stabilized phone camera than the one on this phone. The cameras on this phone capture images with such detail and record videos so stabilized you'd think it's on a tripod all the time. Asus has optimized it's software so well I believe it is more fluid and easier to use than stock Android 14. Ultimately the zenfone 10 is a winner in every department and competes with major brands like Samsung or Apple, and in some aspects, it's far ahead of the competition.
Let's start with the fact that the phone positions itself for one-handed use, which is not reality because I use it the same way as the 6.7, although this 5.9 accordingly requires larger hands for true one-handed use.On the plus side, the screen brightness and picture quality are noticeably higher by 1.5 points than on a phone with the same characteristics, the result is higher due to the latest processor, let’s finish with the advantages.Of the minuses, well, almost everything: the screen size is not enough for one-handed use, the frame in front of the screen is thick, the fingerprint scanner is so bad that it cannot be used for at least 60 applications in order to facilitate access to your data instead of entering a password, the speaker simply wheezes at ... MoreLet's start with the fact that the phone positions itself for one-handed use, which is not reality because I use it the same way as the 6.7, although this 5.9 accordingly requires larger hands for true one-handed use.On the plus side, the screen brightness and picture quality are noticeably higher by 1.5 points than on a phone with the same characteristics, the result is higher due to the latest processor, let’s finish with the advantages.Of the minuses, well, almost everything: the screen size is not enough for one-handed use, the frame in front of the screen is thick, the fingerprint scanner is so bad that it cannot be used for at least 60 applications in order to facilitate access to your data instead of entering a password, the speaker simply wheezes at maximum volume yes it repeats, there is no sound, you have to turn down the volume to the middle, the flashlight is weak, I don’t know what it’s there for, you can’t see a mosquito in the dark, charging is really terrible, to fully charge the phone the screen will display 1 hour 26 minutes, but in reality 1 hour 56 minutes required. The lack of a network where it should be is clearly a phone fault, the completely inconvenient interface is more of an android fault, idiots. The work of the speaker during a conversation is noise, din and quacking instead of the intelligible speech. On the plus side, let's add a little, for example, GPS is more accurate and faster than my previous phones, a QR code scanner and Bluetooth 5.2 are useful.
Excellent phone. This thing has impressed me on performance and I'm so thankful I purchased it.The form actor is right on the edge of being too big for me (only slightly larger than the iPhone SE) and the phone/camera options and quality have blown my mind. The battery life rocks, the customization/UX settings are expansive. My only wish is that Asus will continue to make the Zenfone at this size or smaller. (At the time of this review, the Zenfone 11 only has a large 6.78" display version available.)To touch on the video quality: I recorded a few clips on 4K at a local brass band festival and was blown away at how clean the audio was. I chased my daughter running and everyone I showed it to thought a drone recorded it. And if you reduce resolution you can have digital (cropped) stabilization on top of the mechanical stabilization. All in all, this phone has excellent tech wrapped in a small form factor. If you're not beholden to brand or operating system, you will not regret buying this phone.
1st off, I would still be using my Z8 as it has been the best phone, save a few light slams against the ground that put the screen into fractured state. Worked, yes but, 1/2 the cost to repair as to get a new one. Hence- Zen10. This seems to be just as nice and as soon as I can figure out how to stop the visual notifications on opening, I'll lean to loving it. As soon as I bought it I got an offer to get the Zen 11, or was it 12, however, it is a large phone and no matter what the industry try's to hump onto me, I dislike large phones. This has great sound, great connectivity, great bluetooth, great size. It easily is concealed into pocket(s). If there are any downsides to having this phone, I'm clueless about it. I am not a connoisseur of mobiles so I could give a rats .... about camera exacting specs, or preloaded social garbage. I was looking for a powerful, high gig ram phone with great storage or better, with as many sensible functional features for MY daily life. Samsungs are bloated, Apple is high on itself, Google isn't there yet, LG and Sony- Idk if they even are in the game anymore, Motorola has gone flat. Then there is a funny company called Asus that makes a not perfect but Great small phone. So I went with them. Pretty simple. It is very capable phone for me, and I am busy on it.
After 3 weeks, I've really been able to enjoy this phone, and I think that it's been one of the best phones that I have used, coming from a Samsung Galaxy S10e. When I was thinking about what to upgrade to, I wanted to retain some of the features that the S10e had at the time (Micro SD card slot, 3.5mm Headphone Jack, Side-mounted fingerprint scanner), and while I did not get everything that I wanted, I'm happy with the phone as-is. The battery life is incredible (lasts me about a day of heavy use, and I can customize how the battery gets treated), the basically stock Android is too, and the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 is a beast of a chip. Zen UI is one of the best parts of this phone because it gives you so much flexibility on what you want to change, and not to.Some of my complaints are of course, the lack of a Micro SD expansion slot, the lack of faster charging, the usb-c port being only 2.0, as well as the lack of a notification LED. Micro SD is simply more than adding photos and videos. In fact, I believe that if a phone has a headphone jack, it definitely should also have a Micro SD card slot, since streaming and downloading hi-res audio files takes up a lot of the built in storage. As for the charging, in a world where companies like Oppo and Xiaomi have 100+ watt charging, I would have liked to see at least 65W from Asus, as it's real handy being able to fully charge in about half an hour. The notification LED that the Zenfone 8 had also seemed to be a very handy quirk that reminds me of a time when older Androids had a notification led built into the top bezel.Overall, I really like the Zenfone 9 as-is, and I recommend it to anyone looking to find a phone in 2022 and beyond that's compact (the 5.9 inch screen somehow feels a lot bigger than the 5.8 inch screen that my S10e had) and retains some of the features that older Androids used to have.
What can I say? I love this phone. This is clearly an enthusiast phone for someone who doesn't want a run-of-the-mill iPhone or Samsung. I just swapped over from an iPhone 12 pro Max. My wife switched her iPhone SE to a Samsung A54 simultaneously, so I have a comparison of this Zenfone 10 to a few other good examples. It's easily the best one out of all of them. Affordable price (not like the 1000+ phones these days), smaller form (I can actually use this one handed while walking or on the couch!), colors and style (major Zune energy), and Asus customization of Android which adds so much better UI and features. The camera stabilization on taking videos is truly magic - taking a video walking up to my son from far away makes it look like a stabilized drone video. ... MoreWhat can I say? I love this phone. Is the camera the best quality with the furthest zoom? No, but it is very high quality and more than enough to capture beautiful moments. Night camera works well too. Is it the fastest like a 15 pro? No but when are you multitasking intensive apps that often? The side utility bar is awesome and so is the RAM/memory saver. The fingerprint reader takes some time to get used to (like keeping it clean from my greasy hands) but once you get in the groove of using it, it works super well. Much better functionality overall than a Samsung base android. Calls have had good sound and fidelity, according to who I talk to, minus when I put the Zenfone on speaker but that was due to the case I put on it causing warbling. Overall after a month of use, I love the phone and use a lot of its features. It has excellent performance, captures your memories well, and fits in your pocket/hand. It isn't the leader in one specific category, but when put into the same package? I really think this phone, when used right, takes the cake.
