Speedy delivery from seller! Device works but need some time to configure and unfortunately takes more time than normal. Bought 2 pack to create mesh but yet to set up 3Gbp network to test. Otherwise my experience with Asus has always been great!Take note of limited number of LAN ports though in case you have many devices.

Replaced a 3-node Zen WiFi AX setup, as I’d moved to a 2Gbps fibre line, and wanted to get the best bandwidth throughout my 3-bedroom flat. 1991 build, so lots of metal mesh in walls and floors, which caused a lot of disruption to WiFi signals.PC connecting to second node now getting over 500Mbps, when previously only got around 200. 2 nodes provide full strength WiFi signal where previously needed 3x AX nodes.Same easy-to-use and setup ASUs Router app on iPhone. Only issue I’ve noticed, is the 10Gb WAN port seems very fussy about cables used. CAT7 cable which was OK with AX nodes kept triggering drops to 100Mbps or complete loss of internet connection, so had to move head node closer to router, and use the short Ethernet cable contained in the box. No issues ... No issues now though, constant 2.5Gbps port connectivity.Yes, it’s very expensive, but very good at what it does, and should last a good few years.

After being an early adopter of another wifi 7 mesh router, and returning it due to reliability issues, I decided to wait until ASUS released the ZenWIFI BQ16 Pro. Couldn't have made a better decision. I've been using it for about two months now, and could not be happier. It took all of 30 minutes to set up, and has been working flawlessly ever since. Best of all, the signal strength is strong throughout the house, even the basement with all of the metal piping and wires.

Simple to install from the App. All the complexity is for the BQ16 Pro to worry about. I am now about to maximise my internet plan provide QoS to work from home VPN's. No more complaint from the kids or sob stories about how the video conference dropped at that critical moment. Loving it!
I am a Asus fan, been buying their routers since AC5300 came out. My last router before purchasing the Zen two pack routers was the BE98 Pro amazing fast router. So I tried setting up the Zen router’s wireless way first, had issues using the Asus app. It asked me what type ISP I had, never before has any router asked me this strange. But it finally hooked up after a few reboots. When I checked the wifi speed it was low, so I checked my speed from the modem into the router and the mbps were like almost 400mbps lower than my BE 98 Pro router. I have 1180 mbps ISP. Not good so I texted Asus support and told them what was wrong he tried a few things like changing 2.4 mhz to 40 off auto and a few other things. After about a hour he say I have to return the router to the retailer because it is defective. So I called B&H about a return and they said all out of stock, so I asked for a refund. Sent it in to B&H and will update this review with outcome of the return.
Easy setup. Great range. Small issue with direct back haul connecting but worked perfectly with wireless backhaul. I'll try at future date to see if the direct back haul will work.
I recently produced this 2-pack router and node WiFi 7system for my 4-floor town house and I'm delighted with it despite the obvious high price. Very easy to set up with the Asus phone app, I was up and running in a few minutes. Following a little experimentation with the positioning of the node, I'm getting a remarkably strong signal and very fast speeds (over 800 Mbps) in the most distant parts of my property. A very good product.
Setup took about 10-15 minutes with no glitches. While I don't yet have any Wifi 7 client devices, the speed improvements I'm seeing over my previous AiMesh system (wifi 6) are noticeable already. While I've only had the system running for over a day so far, I've had absolutely no stability issues, etc. I'm running a main network, IoT and guest networks and adding my appliances, etc to the IoT network was seamless. Highly recommend!
My old 5G Netgear Orbi mesh system was getting a bit old, and I was having trouble picking a replacement. I knew I wanted an Asus router this time, since the hardware is well made and quite capable. But wifi 6, 6E or 7?Since I'd had the NG RB50 for about 7 years I decided to go with BQ16 Pro, which is the full implementation of the WiFi 7 protocol and thus the most future proof. That should give me years of top performance making the $1k plus price worth the investment. IMO.I have a Gb internet connection and I will be upgrading my computers and iPhone soon enough, and my current laptop and phone both already use 6+. I can see the speed difference, but admittedly this purchase was more than a little overkill.Still, I like knowing that I have a well protected, ... I can see the speed difference, but admittedly this purchase was more than a little overkill.Still, I like knowing that I have a well protected, top notch wifi system that will keep things running smoothly for years to come. I see others have had big difficulties with the installation but mine has been super smooth and everything has been just humming along nicely since I finished setting things up.It is a fine piece of equipment, but pricey and likely massive overkill for all but the most network intensive situations - ie. large family and lots of streaming, etc. But for me, I like having the excess overhead and feel that parsed over the many years I will be using this device the value is there and thus the price well worth the cost.
Got it through best buy so I could use a 60 day return with their membership. Spent 30 hours trying to get it to do basic functions for more than a few days. Updated firmware every week since they kept updating it but it didn't help much. Eventually swapped it for a TP LInk BE95 and I was set up in 15 minutes and been running for days so far.You will have problems with setup. You will have problems with old IOT devices. You will have stability problems that increases with the number of nodes exponentially. There are better and easier devices from other brands already on the market. 1 router is fine. 2 takes a while to crash. 3 is a disaster. Save yourself the headache and get a different mesh brand for the same or less crazy money.
