I bought one of these to use as an Aimesh node with my primary Asus TUF-AX3000 router.I'm using it with wired Ethernet backhaul down in my garage, and beats having 2 different SSIDs.Speed doesn't seem super dooper, it hits around 450mpbs on my iPhone 11, where the main router gets up to 600.Note the speed wasn't getting above 150mbps till I updated the firmware from what was delivered.Switches seamlessly with no dropout while moving between upstairs and downstairs garage - where the garage usually wouldn't be covered by the main router.Note the delivered model was a XD4R (router) version rather than the XD4N (node). As I understand if you buy it in a normal triple bundle you would get 1 router and 2 nodes.

My main router is an Asus TUF-AX3000 router that gives great Wi-Fi coverage for about 2/3 of the house. I purchased this to set up an ASUS AiMesh and expand the WiFi coverage to the rest of the house. Setup was very easy using the ASUS app. Now have excellent WiFi coverage across the entire house.

This simple router layout works awesome in my masonry house with lots of obstructions like fire walls, fire places, etc. Not blazingly fast anywhere but over 150 mg sec everywhere and lots of 250s thru the house and yard too!
Works great. Tripled or quadrupled speed of wifi throughout the house (plaster/lathe construction).Couldn't be happier.
Very easy to setup. Small profile with strong signal. My TV is getting 5g signal where as I couldn't get it before.
I have tried many different router setups to try and get full WiFi in my home but have never achieved it until I got these Asus AX Minis - setting them up was the simplest of jobs and once in place they give amazing coverage. My home is a converted barn with very thick walls and foil backed plasterboard but these mesh nodes manage to get full signal everywhere - having said the I have got 5 nodes in total !!
We use it in our house to have a good coverage everywhere. One node we had to re-position to achieve a better signal, but with another one we have a little problem to get a good signal, despite the distance to router unit is shorter than with the first node.
Pros: Incredibly easy to set up, great coverage, fast and secure. The App makes it easy to control who is using your network and when. The option to limit or cut off has proved invaluable.Cons: Perhaps a cordless version would set this apart?
Excellent Wi-Fi signally throughout house. Previously, the Wi-Fi was week on the 3rd floor from the rented router. Set up was simple. I have bought switches for each node and will be connecting ethernet connections to each where feasible. The signal extends way outside my house to enable laptop use or Wi-Fi calling in the yard.
