This deletes older, unlocked volume snapshots to preserve data integrity and maintain system stability. ADM supports SMB 2.0/3.0, which reduces the traffic load on the NAS while providing higher capacity for data transfers. In the Asustor test environment, SMB 2.0/3.0 was found to increase Windows network performance by 30-50%. In addition, SMB 2.0/3.0 significantly increases the number of concurrent Windows client connections and simultaneously open files, making ADM even more suitable for large-scale Microsoft network environments. File Explorer is pre-installed so that you can browse and manage your files on the NAS. The programme displays all directories and files on your storage volumes. Upload, download, move, copy, compress, decompress or ISO mounts - File Explorer does all this and much more for you.thumbnail previews allow you to quickly find the images, files and folders you need.

I purchased the 6 bay because it held 6 drives, plus the 4 NVMe drives. This is a great quality unit, a commercial product. If you are expecting a open box plug and use storage, this is not that. I have populated it with 16Gb of ram, 4 - 2T FireCuda 530 NVMe drives in RAID 5, and 6 - Seagate IronWolf Pro 8 TB drives for RAID 6. It does take hours to build the RAID 5 and a day to build the RAID 6. The is not unexpected. Quality, Quiet, Cool, excellent tools with notifications and remote access. Exactly what I wanted.

I ran Asustors and Synologies 4,5,6,8,10 bays for the past decade or so. The Asustors are as reliable and secure than the competitors. I had a unit that recently got zapped from a power outage, I ordered the replacement on Friday, it was delivered Saturday and is now back and running. In a similar situation, the Synologies will take weeks to rebuild and scan; and is mighty slow while I try to work. The specs on this Gen2 is miles ahead of the Synology, I will not waste any more money on Synology and their subpar hardware anymore, it goes to their marketing department anyways.

overall a solid performer that punches well above its class. Intel based unit supports 4 ssd, 6 HD, and more expandability with add ons. Better than most of its competition.
