It's sweet, but not too, and if you are on a low carb diet it will make you feel like you can have your sugar and eat it, too. I "LOVE Chocolate and Coconut" and This is a great combination. I am currently dieting (without exercise due to my health) so I watch calories (of course I shouldn't eat these bars everyday or more than one in a day. Never change the flavor of the chocolate since I don't care when companies change the flavor and it taste gritty or has a weird chocolate taste. Hard to explain the chocolate taste but if anyone is a true chocolate-alcoholic someone in your company should understand. Yes I do believe companies do this with celebrities in order to promote a product. If I'm wrong about "Rob Lowe" shame on me, him and your company! Regardless I do really like the taste of the chocolate/coconut bars. Only wish there was an option to buy more than 5 in a box (recently found out they are available 10 to a box when I went to get my booster shot at Publix). I order online from Wal-Mart due to prices and being on fixed income! I did purchase the combo pack but the others (chocolate/caramel/nut is missing the sweetness or something different but don't need additional calories). I am going to try the "Peanut Butter", hopefully not disappointed. Thank you for making the Chocolate/Coconut for a person dieting and who can enjoy sweetness with their diet!

Batch should be recalled

After trying these bars several months ago I was very impressed. Great coconut taste, not too sweet and perfect snack.I recently bought them again and they tasted spoiled or contaminated. The inside even had a slightly yellow color.When comparing the batches, the ones with a Mar 24 expiry were good but the Jan 24 boxes were terrible and had to be discarded. I suggest these batches get recalled or remove from the shelves, there is definitely something wrong with them.I would love to give 5 stars which is what my first review would have been, but after recent events I can’t even give 1. They were completely inedible.

Excellent bar

A Great "Mounds Bar" SubstituteI am a big fan of coconut and this reminds me of Mounds candy bar without being as sickeningly sweet. I'm not a fan of processed sugar candy bars, all that sugar makes me a bit ill. These Atkins Coconut Bars give me that dark chocolate & coconut fix without the added sugar blech. I did subtract one star as these have a very SLIGHT aftertaste which took me a little getting used to. I have tasted other low carb and sugar substitute items that were MUCH WORSE. I only mention this in the desire for full disclosure--I'm long since adjusted to it and no longer notice it--though I never get over it in other products where it is far more obvious. If I could have simply removed half a star I would have. I really do like these bars on occasion.

I can see why they have endulge in the name

Product should be recalled

I’ve bought these bars many times and always loved them. However this time I bought them and with one bite, I instantly knew something was wrong. The product has a really strong chemical taste almost like cleaning products, and it first burns your throat and then makes your mouth tingle and go numb. It’s not normal and not usual. I wanted to believe it was in my head and tried a few more bites and I started feeling nauseated and almost vomited. Needless to say I could not even finish that one bar. I asked a family member to try as well to see if it was just me, and she instantly spat it out and said it tastes like soap and proceeded to wash her mouth out. Tastes like vomit

Glad to see I'm not the only one that recently experienced this weird vomit taste. I could feel it in my nostrils. Atkins needs to acknowledge this. I usually buy a few boxes at a time and eat them throughout the month. When I opened the first one and experienced that vomit taste, I figured it was a fluke. But then I bit into another. Same thing. Opened a new box to confirm that I wasn't crazy and it still tasted like vomit. Then the next day at work, I ate one from a box I previously purchased and it tasted just fine. Something happened to this last batch and Atkins needs to answer for it. These things aren't cheap and I've had to toss 2 boxes of them.
