After a long saga in my life of dodgy audio interfaces, finally I've found one that is built solidly, sounds very very good, looks good and is flexible to be able to do what you want it to do. The LED indicators are really good. They show the signal coming in from your PC or connected mic/line, when you adjust the big knob to change your speaker or headphone output it shows what level that output's set to momentarily, a really great feature. The mixer software ID is probably one of the best I've used, I prefer it to the RME software which was also good. You can assign any of your outputs as a loopback source which is then available as another input.Very happy with this

Where do i start, This interface is amazing, i was blown away by the reviews. This is a good mid range inference that far out performs other interfaces in the category. The preamp are warm and do offer a high enough gain boost to power the shure SM57b microphone. This interface comes with a range of plugin for you DAW application using the ARC website. This would have been so close to a 5 start if i didn't receive a device with a poor USB C port that cuts out every time you move it. Saying this, the guys at manny exchanged this without hesitation and the new device has been working perfectly fine since.

This was an upgrade for my previous iD4 which will now become my backup interface. That said, I don't think that anything will go wrong with the iD14. Its built like a tank. All interfaces do the same thing at this price range. However, the Audient scroll wheel is, (as far as I know), unique to this price range of interfaces and it is a feature that makes this unit better than its competitors. My only gripe is I prefer the id4s physical knob that adjusts the headphone monitor mix to reduce latency. The software alternative offered on the id14 works well but not as easy to use as its little brother. The Audient iD14, (& the iD4 for that matter), is simply the best investment for home studio that you can make.

As good as it gets...

Very sturdy build. Excelent sound quality. Two separate headphone outs. It has a USB type-C connector which is OK, although 90% of users are going to need a regular USB 3.0 (type-A) adapter for the computer end. But it comes only with a short type-C to type-C cable. However, it works fine with regular USB 3.0 and even USB 2.0 sockets on the computer end with an adapter or C to A cable. Latency so far seems OK even though Audient do not have their own driver - it is the common "Theyscon" (?) ASIO driver. One problem with this was updating the firmware - it hung while "initialising". Swapping USB sockets didn't help, eventually had to actually uninstall the driver/s from Device Manager (Win 7) during the early update phase, then it suddenly completed.

Best interface I've owned

I've always used Focusrite interfaces and they do good but the id14 is better. You can notice an obvious upgrade in quality immediately. Everything sounds cleaner and more clear. If you're deciding between a Focusrite Scarlett and the id14 then definitely go with the id14 you won't regret it.

Clean, Low Noise SOLID Construction

I was previously using an AudioBox USB96 and do Voice Over work thus creating a bit of Post Editing to reduce the noise created. I had heard that Audient line ADC chip is the same type as much more costly Audient Hardware and all I needed was a single mic input. Fantastic being able to get the quality without having to buy hardware with many other options I didn't need. It has been a great piece of kit and the only gripe is getting it recognized and working with my Mac OS. This may be because Monterey is having issues with USB C connections. Highly recommend!

Fantastic Quality

My Motu M2 stopped working. It actually came from one of the German shops so I needed something excellent for working.Checked reviews and specifically for virtual instrument latency, but bought this because of both the A/B speaker switching and optical out. After getting it all hooked up with a new 11700k built by scan I've been bowled over by the quality of every aspect of the interface, from the convertors, the pre-amp the versatility of the little virtual mixer. In my opinion it just sounds better than the M2 and offers shed loads more flexibility. No brainier, buy with complete confidence!

Great little interface
6 April 2023

I bought this to use with a portable rig. I have two other interfaces I use in my small home studio- an older Presonus Studio 192 and a UA Apollo Twin. This does not have built in DSP like my other units but for a simple audio interface with the ability to add 8 more inputs via ADAT, this is very nice. Exceptional build quality and the sound is pristine. Best bang for buck in a small interface by a mile.

Unbelievable piece of equipment. If you want to see how well the technical aspects of this device performs, just go to the YouTube channel of Julian Krause. The interface itself is heavy and the switches are strong giving you reassurance that you'd have to go out of your way to cause damage to the thing. For the price it is unbelievable what you're getting. If you are looking for a first time audio interface, you will be hard pressed to find anything better. Make sure you connect this with a USB C to USB C wire as this is needed to provide full power to the headphone inputs so they can drive your headphones properly.
