The product itself is awesome. We bought a second base set for my wife do she could switch between helmets. Great range, better than my previous head set.

Cheaper than a new headset

I saw this setup from Cardo for riders who wanted to switch their control unit to a 2nd or 3rd helmet without having to but the entire kit. This is about 50% less than an all out purchase. FortNine service is painless and quick as usual. 5 thumbs up!

Easy to Install and great sound Quality

Bought this kit to fit to my Arai Adventure Helmet. Already have a kit fitted to my BMW Flip Front Helmet too. Clear fitting Instructions with options for Boom or Stick on Mics. Spacers for Speakers (to get Closer to ears if your internal padding is thin). My son fitted same kit to an older Arai helmet, again no problem. I've had my original set for over 4yrs and never any issues. This new kit worked flawlessly with a Q3 matched set on a recent trip to the Lakes, and it chucked it down on the way home!! I've used both clamp (Arai) and stick on 3Ms so good quality (Flip Front, been on 4 yrs) with no loosening/peeling. Buy with confidence.

Good sound and easy install.

Bought an extra helmet so I needed to install a microphone kit so I could switch the module between each of the helmets.The install was easier on this full face than on the modular helmet.The original Cardo Freecom 4 came with JBL speakers but these speakers are just as clear and maybe a it louder too.

Love the Cardo system

Good kit, has all you need for you 2nd helmet....but I wish you could buy this with the JBL option built in, like comes when you purchase the Freecom 4. The stock speakers are adequate, but listening to them on an AB test with my JBL equipped Arai Signet,, made me realize that I would not be satisfied till the other helmet was equally equipped, which cost me another $107. Ouch.

New helmet system

I recently bought a new crash helmet and had the scala q3 installed on my original and in good condition helmet so needed another base unit. This is a great piece of kit, works fantastic and was simple to fit.. great value too.

Useful if you use 2 helmets

Does exactly what it is supposed to do without any problems. I can now use my freecom 1 on each of my helmets simply by clicking it in from one to the other.

Very useful comms unit

Works great but pairing is a real hard job! Every time I try and use it the pairing is lost and it is a nightmare to pair with others, what a farse! its OK to listen to my satnav and does work well. Other than the pairing difficuilties, when I am paired with my mates, the clarity is fantastic and the range is beyond what you could expect from a bluetooth device, at least 800meters in direct site!! Great for overtakes to as you can state whether it is clear round a blind bend for a following rider. Increases safety as warnings of potholes gravel animals or debri in the road can be conveyed to following riders as well as directions. Definately a must!

Works just like the jbl series! - sorta

Sound is good. Put it on my second helmet with the freecom 4+ unit.The second helmet is louder overall, so I can't really say the sound difference isn't just that.Install was easy as usual, shipping was a bit long but whatever, it's not like it was a donor heart.

when it works 100% it is great

good points are great design easy to fit and when it is working 100% it is great, has good battery life so great for long journeys. after using one for almost a year it has proved to be an essential piece of kit, but not the easiest to use ie with B/T ect, takes a while to connect at first up to 5 minutes, thought we had not set it up correctly but just switch it on and start to ride and within 5 mins it connects, works better with some helmets than others, ear piece needs to be right over your ear. quality and packaging with all bits and pieces is top notch. I have 6 helmets ie different types of bikes, winter helmets etc so it gets expensive if you want to buy the adaptor kits for each helmet, so you can switch between. overall 7/10
