These are remarkable headphones. The top end is ever so slightly astringent for me, but that is easily fixed with a bit of equalization. Otherwise the tone is generous, warm, inviting. They seem to have a V shaped response curve, but it is subtle and highly enjoyable. Detail is terrific and musical. These aren't technically the best headphones I have (I have much more expensive electrostatics), but somehow I enjoy these more than any other headphone I have every owned. They are easy to run on a portable player. The included balanced cable is a real plus.

Deep bass and detailed clear mids and highs are seen here and are my go to pair when I am on the go and need something more than what Bluetooth can provide.Highly recommended to those who enjoy a more energetic sound profile and appreciate a beautiful aesthetic.

Very smooth sounding and clear. Wish the clamping force was slightly higher for better bass response though. Very comfortable to wear because of low weight. Would not say the sound is worth the asking price but style and comfort are top notch.
Fun engaging sound with a V-shaped profile, which is exactly what I was looking for as I listen for enjoyment and not analytically. Driving these balanced from an iFi zen DAC v2 and they have great subbass rumble, slam, but with good separation and no bloat in my opinion. Comfortable pads and so lightweight I forget I'm wearing them The flame maple looks even better in person. Wish it came with a better case instead of the included pouch is my only area for improvement.

These headphones are one of my favorites! The sound signature is V-shaped, but thats what makes these such engaging headphones to listen to! These ride the knife edge on the highs, but not sibilant. Surprisingly, these are quite analytical. They are comparable in the highs department similar to the UM Mest. For the price, these headphones cannot be beat.
I travel a lot so these headphones are perfect. They are small and light. I'm really impressed by the sound quality of these headphones however I do wish they isolated sound a bit better. I would give this a 9/10!
I use the audio engin D1 to listen this headphone, compare to the Ath a990z and sennheiser HD599se. I prefer symphony andjapanese women singer. It could handle the symphony but when both sound together, singer's voice are weaker than 990z and Hd 599se is weaker than both of them. The adventure of the 599se is easy to wear. 990z is too big and heavy but best music. This one maybe need a better mp3 devise to deal with the balance between music and voice.
This is a light weight wood headphone with beautiful cups.This has a classic v-shaped signature in my opinion, with an extended bass response that reaches impressively low and delivers generous amounts of rumble and slam, and it does sound warmer than neutralBut overall it's not like your th900 V shape
