Anyhow back to the Audio Technica turntable. Well I couldn't believe the sound quality was amazing for the price of a entry level record player. Even though the records hadn't been cleaned, I could hardly hear any pops or crackling. The record player is so simple to use straight out of the box. Once you select your record size and speed you just press the play button and of it goes automatically. My friend was so happy and emotional both at the same time. She couldn't believe the simplicity of how to use it. She loved the sound quality too.My opinion of it is that it is an excellent entry level record player. The build quality and price were absolutely reasonable. I would highly recomend the Audio Technica LP60X to anyone, and not just as an entry level but a good unit for even a person looking for a second good quality turntable for another room or man cave. 10/10

After 6 months, worth so much more than the price.

Awesome budget turntable. I’m new to vinyls and I did a lot of research for a good vinyl that wouldn’t break the bank. This was definitely a great deal. Apart from the great aesthetics, it sounds amazing, and I paired them with the Insignia bookshelf speakers (another budget but good option). The sound is crystal clear and sounds more full than what you hear on your normal AirPods. Only thing I’d say, look up how to tune the belt speed on YouTube, I noticed when I first took it out that it was playing at about 5-10% faster than it should have been, but it’s a quick easy fix. This is way better than any of those brief case vinyl players that often damage your records. Bad stylus on two separate turntables

Don't buy this model. I bought it at my local Best Buy, took it home and got it all set up anticipating great sound on my stereo system. But the stylus made strange and distorted sounds when I played an album. It sounded almost hollow. So I packed it up and took it back to the store hoping they could play it so they could hear what I was hearing, and maybe just replace the cartridge. But no, the so-called Geek Squad does not have receivers and speakers to be able to play turntables to fix issues and diagnose problems. I was forced to return the whole unit and order a new one. This time I picked the option to have the new turntable shipped directly to my home and it arrived in two days. Combines Easy Playback of Records With Great Sound

This is the best value I could find for an automatic turntable. Audio Technica knows what they're doing, and has made a very simple but very good sounding player. I've been using it to transfer a bunch of vinyl albums to digital files, and it's been working flawlessly.I used to have a Technics turntable many moons ago that was not automatic, so you had to balance the tonearm, adjust the counterweight, set up the anti-skate, and all of that hoo-hah just to listen to your records. Oh, and you had to carefully lift the tonearm and gently lower it to the vinyl surface. When the record side was finished, it just sat there endlessly grinding away at the end, skipping back every rotation. Who needs all of that? This turntable does everything for you. When the record side was finished, it just sat there endlessly grinding away at the end, skipping back every rotation. Who needs all of that? This turntable does everything for you. After placing the record, you hit the Start button, and it plays the whole side. At the end, it lifts the tonearm and stops the record. There's no counterweight to mess with, no anti-skate setting, or any other adjustments. It just works.I've transferred about a hundred albums so far, and I'm very happy with the sound quality and ease of operation. I realize that some people love the whole process of playing each side manually, but I'm not one of them. This turntable does an excellent job of handling playback tasks while delivering very good sound. It's a home run as far as I'm concerned. So if you're intimidated by the technical aspects of setting up and using a fancier turntable, this one is a great option that lets you just play and enjoy your records with minimal fuss.

Hello All!I bought this to review and check all my old vinyl LPs, 12" singles and 45s.It's amazingly simple to set-up. Everything was up and running in about 10-15 minutes (including unboxing the stuff). I went for the Bluetooth record deck which connects to the speakers by just holding down the Bluetooth button and the light changes from red to blue when connected to the speakers - then you are all set! The basic controls are start, stop, lift and lower tone arm (useful), speed (33 / 45) and then a 12" and 7" setting. The start button moves the tone arm automatically to whatever the 12"/7" setting is and starts playing so it's a piece of cake to use. This is the best (probably) entry level turntable I've ever try. It reminds me an old Sony 3 in 1 stereo sound system I owned back in the early 90's. It's extremely easy to set it up, it feels a little plasticly cheap but it looks good with my equipment. It's fully automatic and I love the option to connect it to my amp either to the phono (my preferred option) or the line input thanks to the built in pre-amp feature. It's a bang for the buck. I highly recommend it.

This is a basic turntable but it’s good quality and sounds pretty good, if you’re into analog sound for nostalgic reasons or whatever. My 19 yr old daughter actually got this as a birthday gift, it’s all she wanted. Isn’t it ironic that a few decades ago when digital music was just breaking onto the scene, everyone wanted CD’s, we were so thrilled to have static-free music that sounded so much better than vinyl or tape. Then it was DVD audio with its multi-channel stereo and superior sound reproduction. Now we have lossless streaming digital audio with Atmos sound processing *in freaking headphones*.., and in Tesla’s, and a few other cars I think, but my kid says she *likes* the static, and I now had a reason to teach her what “wow and flutter” means, a foreign ... MoreThis is a basic turntable but it’s good quality and sounds pretty good, if you’re into analog sound for nostalgic reasons or whatever. Now we have lossless streaming digital audio with Atmos sound processing *in freaking headphones*.., and in Tesla’s, and a few other cars I think, but my kid says she *likes* the static, and I now had a reason to teach her what “wow and flutter” means, a foreign concept to most people under 30. Actually, I’m surprised so many people want to listen to vinyl, I don’t personally get the hype. But I can appreciate the value and quality of this very decent entry level turntable. My only real “gripe” if there is one, is that the buttons feel hollow and pretty cheap, if I’m being honest. But this is entry level, so I’m happy with the overall quality considering the low price. It’s far better than the first one I bought her which was an off-brand Amazon 4.5 star rated unit with speakers that was incredibly disappointing.., daughter thought it was “perfect” but it was like nails on a chalkboard to my ears. So, being the concerned father I am, I sent that one back (with her permission, of course) and replaced it with this unit and a powered 2.1 channel speaker/sub set (it’s in her bedroom) because I believe everyone should develop an appreciation for high fidelity sound. She’s very happy with it and that makes me happy. Would I recommend? Yes, if you’re on a tight budget or a non-audiophile type. Just don’t expect it to impress with tactile feedback; the buttons are noisy and cheap feeling. But it’s easy to use with one button play and the mechanism is solid. Just skip the stuff on Amazon and go with this one.

Not just for beginners
12 June 2024

I was born in 1955. My dad was a gear head back in the 50's and 60's, and by the time I was 12 or so, I knew how to balance a tone arm and set the anti-skating, etc. because of him. I've been through a ton of electronic stuff in my lifetime. My beloved Technics SL-D2 linear turntable died after 40 years of use. I liked it because it used P-mount cartridges, among other things. But I knew I no longer wanted to mess around with settings and fussing over a turntable, and I now have tremorous hands, so I wanted a fully automatic model. This turntable fills the bill. I really don't mind that I can't change out the cartridge; I always found it tedious. This little plug and play unit looks great, sounds fine, and all I have to do is put on the record and hit ... MoreI was born in 1955. My dad was a gear head back in the 50's and 60's, and by the time I was 12 or so, I knew how to balance a tone arm and set the anti-skating, etc. because of him. Works and sounds great!

I purchased this product almost 4 years ago, back in 2019. It's easy and simple to use. Connect the power cord in the back and plug it in, pick your favorite album and lay it on the table, push the Bluetooth button to connect to whatever speaker device you choose or plug the cords it comes with to the back of the player and to your shelf speakers, and press play. As far as sound goes, I've connected it to bookshelf speakers, multiple JBL speakers at the same time, wireless headphones, a sound bar, air pods, and to my 1999 Bose speakers, 2 that are the size of tweets with an awesome amp that reminds me of a Rockford Fosgate punch 60, purchased to use with my Dell PC, when flatscreens first became available, and it sounded great. I've played the just unwrapped the plastic vinyl, 40 year old vinyl, and even vinyl that I've purchased from the thrift store, and it played them all without skipping a beat. I live right by an airport, a double set RR tracks that shake my whole apartment building, and neighbirs with the worst kids in the complex that are always beating and banging on the walls and hasn't made the needle jump, which I have yet to replace. You can't bring out your 80's mixing skills and start spinning because that's not what it's for, but for the price, it does everything that it's .supposed to do. So whether you want to go classic and start off with some Sinatra, amming to some Bob, rock with Jimi, go soul with King, smoke, I mean bump the Chronic with Dre, or Dubstep to some techno you can't go wrong with purchasing this Audio-Tecnica turntable.
