This turntable replaced my grandparents 1967 Magnavox suitcase player. While it was hard to get rid of that sentimental beast (it was HEAVY), this new turntable looks and more importantly sounds incredible. Thank you Turntable Lab for your quick & wonderful service.

Sweet kit for sure. Very well packed by TTL, and quick delivery once got by the 4 day processing time. Sounds fabulous, even sending via my BT transmitter to wireless speaker. Not HIFI I know, but functional where this table lives. Build quality superb, table has an elegant look..makes momma happy as in living room. Small gripe, cueing lever in awkward spot in relation to tonearm lock, too close to it. I also like a little more cue damping then this has, but kinda typical for AT tables I've owned. Is still adequate, no needle slams! HIGHLY recommended.

Overall:suffice it to say this lightweight manual belt drive little gem is quiet and delivers great music. I'll be upgrading to the Shibata stylus soon as I had a few years back and liked it a lot. So far after just a few records using the MM portion of my old Carver preamp and I noted well defined bass. The treble with the elliptical tip is not bad either but I'm only running $240 a pair Pioneer Andrew Jones designed towers so everything sounds like it punches above its weight class quite a bit.
Bought this unit to replace an old Pioneer turntable which was having trouble maintaining an accurate speed. The AT has a DC motor with a built in speed controller. So, hopefully, this should no longer be a problem. Fast shipping along with very secure packing.
Sound:The sound is what I expected. This cartridge sounds very good in all turntables I’ve heard it with. The tonearm does a great job of interfacing it to the vinyl.Features:This isn’t a feature laden turntable, but it’s not meant to be. I want a quality turntable without a lot of fluff to get in the way of listening to the music.Ease of Use:Very easy to use. The only thing was the power switch on the back threw me for a loop. The instructions are pictures only.Quality:It’s well made. No issues there.Value:It’s well worth the $300 it cost.Manufacturer Support:Never dealt with them directly. The Wow Factor:It sounds great and looks good.Overall:The table was easy to setup. I recommend getting a protractor and scale because the cartridge wasn’t aligned and the stylus weight wasn’t accurate on the counterweight. With the calibrated scale reading 2 grams the weight showed 2.5 grams. I also recommend getting a quality turntable preamp. The one built in is ok, but try flipping the switch and plugging it into a decent preamp and listen to the difference when you can adjust the gain right to the edge of overload then backing off. It increases the dynamics and makes the music much more lively. The table is well built with quality components. The Audio Technica green elliptical stylus does a great job. The tone arm is very well made. I really like this turntable and have zero regrets buying it.
Just recently treated myself one of these to replace my old Yamaha turntable; originally I wanted a Rega but for the price JB's had these listed at in their Boxing Day sale I could not say no! The turntable was easy to set up, and the walnut finish combined with the black looks superb, quite classy even, (the carbon fibre tone-arm looks particularly cool) Sound wise to me it sounds great; I am not using the in-built pre-amp, preferring to use the phono input on my receiver. Very happy with my purchase.
First, this is a great looking minimalist table. In my opinion it's construction and performance punches above the price range. The belt drive servo controlled motor delivers consistent speed without unwanted sound. The straight, carbon fiber tonearm tracks with ease. The included VM95e cartridge provides a nice soundstage, imaging, and clarity of sound. The adjustable legs properly isolate the wooden plinth. The speed control switch is functional. The dust cover is attached, but removable. The tracking and anti skate controls function well enough. But the anti skate control is a bit difficult to read. The TT has the look and feel of a higher priced TT. Indeed upgrading the included stylus will provide sound quality which in my opinion approaches. If not achieved ... MoreFirst, this is a great looking minimalist table. Sound:Audio Technica stated that the built the table around the VM cart. After listening to this table, I am likely to believe that. Everything sounds well-balanced and detailed and that was right out of the box!Features:This is a pretty bare bones table. One thing I really liked however is the speed sensitive motor. When tested with the RPM app, the speed was almost dead on at 33.37 RPMs and 45.05 at the 33 1/3 and 45 RPM settings.Ease of Use:Setup was done in less than 10 minutes and was extremely easy to use with no learning curve.Quality:The product appears to be well made. My only want would be that the platter was heavier.Value:Yes, I think it’s a better product than others in their Direct Drive line and has bettter specs.Manufacturer ... MoreSound:Audio Technica stated that the built the table around the VM cart. It has great sound and I look forward to using it for years to come!Overall:I wasn’t expecting much when it came to this table, especially when paired with the stock cart, but boy was I wrong!
Really disappointed in my first turntable. For $350 I wouldn't expect such a noticeable defect. The platter is severely warped (no it's not the mat as many have suggested). I wish I would've examined it more closely when I bought it, now I'm stuck with it. Luckily it plays just fine, but kind of turned me off of Audio-Technica.
