This little gadet is fantastic and great quality, it lights up a dark hallway brilliantly whenever anyone enters the hallway. Not had to use the torch independently yet but great to know its there and just detatches very simply if required. Going to get another for my elderly brother as it will be super for him getting out of bed during the night to light his way without having to reach for a light switch. I have purchased several items from Auraglow and extremely happy with their products and service.

Ordered this for my elderly parents, having already bought one previously for personal use. Perfect for bedrooms, when needing to get up in the night! The light emitted isn't too bright that it disturbs sleeping partners! Also useful to be able to dis-engage torch, if needed which is simply held on by magnet. Very well made and better than cheaper products which don't really compare.

Good quality and stylish. Simple -just plug in, works great in a dark hallway. Love that it can be used as handheld torch too. Although a little more expensive than most “night lights” it is definitely worth the money.

I run a Grade II listed property now in flats. Our Fire Safety Consultant recommended this sort of unit as an alternative to ugly expensive emergency lighting. They are fabulous; I put one in the main hall of each flat & in the hallways & staircase of the building ready to guide the way to the exit. Everyone loves them. They are attractive units with a low profile & work perfectly. Some of the flat owners have ordered additional units for their other rooms. Couldn't be more pleased!
I bought my first one of these in-store when I discovered it in John Lewis and I'm very glad I did.Upsides:* It has a variety of useful functions, which it does well and in a stylish & pleasing design.* It's primarily a rechargeable torch and an emergency room lamp (for use during a power cut) and it's secondarily a motion-triggered night-light (when you have power).* Conveniently, it charges in its supplied cradle by induction - no connecting plug to socket required.* It has both a "warm white" LED room lamp (aka night-light) and a "sunlight white" LED torch (one of which can be on at a time). Both are adequately bright for their purposes. The torch functionality is useful when you do have power too; if you place it somewhere handy you always have a working ... MoreI bought my first one of these in-store when I discovered it in John Lewis and I'm very glad I did.Upsides:* It has a variety of useful functions, which it does well and in a stylish & pleasing design.* It's primarily a rechargeable torch and an emergency room lamp (for use during a power cut) and it's secondarily a motion-triggered night-light (when you have power).* Conveniently, it charges in its supplied cradle by induction - no connecting plug to socket required.* It has both a "warm white" LED room lamp (aka night-light) and a "sunlight white" LED torch (one of which can be on at a time). Both are adequately bright for their purposes. The torch functionality is useful when you do have power too; if you place it somewhere handy you always have a working torch for night excursions to the garden or shed!Downsides:* It offers no adjustment to any of its modes (e.g. motion sensitivity, illumination duration, ambient light level sensitivity, lamp brightness). Some may be disappointed in this regard as you cannot have it continuously lit as a night-light (in its cradle, when you've power) but rather it lights (briefly) only when triggered by motion.* The battery is not replaceable.* The room lamp is claimed to last two hours during a power cut on its 500mAh battery. I haven't tested that claim, but in any case I would've liked twice that duration.* It isn't comfortable to hold as a torch for a long period. This is a sufficiently good product that I've now bought three more from the official distributor's own eBay shop ("safield-online" since you ask).
This light is amazing. I have had a few other night lights for my children and all have been no where near as good as this one. It gives off enough light and has the added bonus of been a torch so in a power cut we know exactly where to find a torch…that itself is a god send with children in the house. It’s also simple enough for the children to grab and operate themselves if needed. Very happy with this purchase !!
Bought this plug in night light and emergency torch to replace a previous one of the same make we'd had for some years in a holiday let and also been pleased with. The unit is nicely designed so blends into the hallway. When it comes on via sensor if you walk past it in the night it illuminates with a nice mellow light rather than being a cold harsh white as some can do.
Quick to respond to movement and stays on for a short time after you have passed but long enough for you to get settled back into bed after your trip to the loo! Not over bright, which is good. I also like the fact that it has a very effective and useful torch. This is my second Auraglow light and the first one lasted for several years before it failed, although for some time I was still able to use the torch, which was great.
I purchased these for use in my corridors. The fact that they can be used as torches and as emergency lighting during a power failure seemed to make the additional cost worthwhile. However when mounted in a plug on the side of the corridor the activation range from the side is less than a metre, basically you are one step from it when it comes on, useless for what is required. The range from directly in front may be more. Buyer beware! I would like to return these but, of course, the plastic packaging had to be cut open to remove them.
We bought two of these to light a corridor at night. The sensor range is under 1 metre. Not 3m as claimed. I suspect the sensor is a narrow cone and it may be 3m if you are within that narrow cone. If not, you have to virtually on top of it before it activates. So, not really suitable for a corridor. There is no choice between motion and daylight sensors. So, when it says "features both motion and daylight sensors", it means it will only activate if it's dark enough and there is motion detected. You cannot have it as a dusk to dawn light without movement detection. Build quality appears good but I would not recommend for a corridor/passageway.
