Very fast shipping of this item. It cross cuts into tiny pieces perfect for using the paper to compost. Much better than just the shreds that my old one used these will compost much faster and it very quickly shreds the paper. It's quiet.

...so far, I LOVE THIS SHREDDER!

I just received my shredder a couple of days earlier than expected. I let it sit for a couple of days. thinking how long will this one work. I feed a lubricating sheet in and started feeding it documents and WOW! This thing is not as loud as expected and it shreds in small pieces of paper. I can sit these shreds out on the curb and I am confident that NO ONE or THING can put these bits together to recreate ANYTHING! It is still early to tell, but so far, I LOVE THIS SHREDDER!

A good machine for the price.

It's an inexpensive machine that gets the job done. That being said, I realized that I've bought this model, either in cross-cut or micro-cut for the last 3 shredders I've owned. They tend to last about 2 - 3 years or so before needing to be replaced because the motor just stops working. I do use it for household and my small business, so I might be taxing it a bit more than the average household user.

Delivers as described at a low price.

Operated continuously for 20 minutes feeding from one to six sheets at a time. Some multiple feeds included thin staples. No jams. Motor has a soft sound (not loud, not quiet). Container half filled with small diced up pieces when emptied. Top had build up of pieces at one end that had to be manually cleared. This did not inhibit the operation of the shredder. Instructions helpful and easy to follow.

Disappointed

The Aurora 6 sheet security shredder is quiet.I was really happy with it until after the third time Iemptied the basket. I turned it on just toclear the blades of any confetti. The machine was not overheated. As soon as I turned the shredder to on all electricity in my room went out. Fortunately my oxygen condenser could be plugged into a socket in another room. Before.plugging in.the shredder I removed the surge surpressor from that socket so the shredder was the only thing plugged into that socket.

Good Price For High-Level Security Rating

I wish the bin was larger! Other than that it is great. I need a high-security rating, due to sensitive information that I was shredding and this has a rating of P4.It starts to bog down if you try to do over three sheets of paper at once. The angle for loading paper is a tad difficult. It would have been better to be a straight-up opening instead of angled.

Good for small needs

This shredder works well for small jobs. It really only shreds one page at a time. I found it bogs down when trying to shred multiple. It also gets hot very quickly when trying to shred a stack of papers. It’s great for shredding unwanted mail as it arrives, but I would not recommend for any larger shredding needs.

Great shredder, Great Price!

Great shredder and great price! It does exactly what it's meant to do, and it didn't cost an arm%26leg. What else can be said? Oh, I know, . . . I wish it came in a white or exciting color, but I can live with black and be happy. Just get it.

Great shredder. Works well and shreds as it should

I really like the micro-cut. The pieces are so small that anything you shred could never be reconstructed. I don’t have to worry at all that someone could get a hold of the pieces and steal my information. GREAT IDENTITY PROTECTION.

For the most part I am quite pleased with this shredder. It cuts paper and credit cards into very small pieces. The noise level is about the same as another shredder I own. Two things that bring my rating down a star: The paper slot is so thin that I have a very hard time getting paper into it. If it's stiffer paper it works great, but for thinner paper, it has a tendency to curl up when trying to feed it. I'm not sure if angling the slot a bit would have helped. Secondly, it's hard to move. I think my husband is going to drill a couple of holes in each side so handles can be attached. It's top-heavy, so when trying to lift it from the bottom, it tries to tip over, but it can't be picked up with the top portion, since it comes off and scatters little tiny squares of ... MoreFor the most part I am quite pleased with this shredder.
