A nice scanner for the money

It has a nice screen and it some what easy to use, found a code for a ABS problem and did what I hope is a fixed repair ( will give my van a better road test soon )The only problem so far I can't do updates from my computer, so I sent Autel a message and hope to get some help soon.

Excellent scanner. I identified two different vehicle issues in less than 15 minutes after scanner arrived, including a Dodge ABS brake code that had been unreadable except with the now obsolete and expensive Dodge only scanner. Brake part was $9.83 delivered to my door. Other vehicle problem was vacuum hose. Easy to use, fires up as soon as you plug it in. In my case code descriptions were very accurate. Nice color screen. I played with the real time data graphing, excellent! Great piece of equipment.

Excellent - Found The Issue Immediately!

This is a great compact device, that really does the job. I had been experiencing ABS, Traction Control, Hill Descent & All wheel drive lights on my dashboard in my 2009 Chevrolet Captiva 2.0D.The device is so easy to set up and I was really impressed by the comprehensive menu's and ease of use.I was amazed that by selecting the manufacturer of the vhicle, you can go into further detail of the exact model, whether it's auto or manual and down to the exact enginge.The communication between the device is super fast and within 10 minutes I found the exact issue that was causing the lights to come on the dashboard (it was a right rear wheel speed sensor).This has saved me so much money and time by not having to travel to a local garage to have this diagnosed, ... MoreThis is a great compact device, that really does the job. (Yes, actually read the documentation before using.)2) Documentation suggested updating the unit. Downloaded and installed software to update unit.3) Documentation suggested some units when connected to a computer will link the Micro SD card when in the unit, some will not; and did not specify that the ML629 does not.4) Updated the vehicles as noted in the documentation. Satisfied So Far

The product is as advertised. The shortcoming I found so far, is that it doesnt carry info for vehicles beyond 2014. My vehicle is a 2016 model. Is easy to use and I have more exploring to do, my 1st task was to diagnose and erase a P0502 code. Now to fix the fault.

The scanner came without the USB cable that the instructions clearly state that you need to update it , when I called the company they kept asking what I needed it for ( So I guess they have no idea about there own product ) and that I had to call Home Depot for a cable . I did call and they said that the company would e-mail me about getting a cable , but I have yet to hear from them .
