Unfortunately I burned the bottom of both sides . Still can't work out how adding the filling after the eggs are cooked will work .
Thin pressed metal, not cast. Hinge was bent when it arrived. The screw to hold the handle on is too long and you end up with a loose handle. I followed the instrutions to the letter and cooked on a low gas but the handle started to burn/melt. It was cheap though, and thats what you get.
The smaller lid handle burnt and disfigured from heat. Prepared the pan as per instructions before use but the eggs still stick to the non stick poaching cups. It may improve with age. At the moment it makes good scrambled eggs.
So far, so good. Have used it to make 4 omelettes. The non-stick is working fine so far. The pan could be made of a bit heavier material to distribute heat more evenly, but it is heavy enough to work reasonably well. Haven't tried the poaching tray but it looks like it will work. All in all enjoying being able to cheat and make easy omelettes.
It was perfect when I bought it. It has however deteriorated and now sticks. I've tried to treat it with vinegar and bi carbonate solution and it hasn't worked. I've gone back to my old but very thick nin stick fry pan which is much better. I feel the Avanti product is great in theory but to work should be made of thicker materials. Alan Scanlan
I wanted a poacher pan that was easy to clean. This one failed the test. Back to my old one now. Sorry, no good.
This claims to non stick surfaces. No way . Food does if you don't give a light spray or wipe it with oil.
The omlette pan is great BUT there was no screw to attach the handle.I improvised by using one from my tool box.
