Condenser Mics are not an item I'm all that familiar with but the rich round & warm sound quality they can produce is one I have always sought. As a contender at the entry level price I paid for it - I was instantly impressed. So far I have sampled it's capabilities in a non-neutral acoustic environment but even then it has proved to be a worthwhile investment. In my projects writing songs and voice overs for final recording in a professional studio this Mic is definitely going to be my tool of choice for vocals and possibly acoustic instruments once I have the chance to try it out on them. I have interfaced it to the computer using the Behringer 202UMC AI.

I am absolutely amazed by the quality of this microphone. I went onto eBay thinking I would find a cheap little plastic thing and came across this. The build quality is amazing and contributes to the amazing audio quality. If I could give this more stars I definitely would.

I use the VOXCON-XLR AVE mic to record acoustic voice and guitar using a Focusrite Solo as an audio interface into a Mac or iPad. It performs well with both the voice and guitar - good frequency response and enough head room on the gain. It comes with a shock mount and zip up storage pouch but no hard carry case. I can certainly recommend it as an excellent budget mic.!
