I am a huge fan of Aveda products. I've been using them for years and this was another excellent product by them. I love to use deep conditioners, at least once a week on my hair since it is very curly and loves moisture. This deep conditioner has an earthy and minty smell, so it already appeased to my senses when I used it. I let it sit on my hair for about 30 minutes, because I like to let it sit for a long time on my hair to penetrate the hair follicle to get a deep conditioning. You want to make sure that you make this product thoroughly. It left my hair feeling moisturize, and having a great slip to it, which made my curly products easy to apply. This product was offered by Aveda to me for my honest review.

I got the Be curly advanced intensive curl perfecting masque complimentary from aveda. I have curly and medium thick hair and used just as the directions mentioned and did not think it was better than other masks that I have used. With curly hair, I look for masks that provide a lot of hydration and keep the curl but it unfortunately did not do that. The mask mentions it will provide intensive curl definition to waves, curls and coils but did not define my curls like other masks do. It did give me a more conditioned feel to my hair so it left it soft and smooth but did not enhance my curls nor give me hydration that I was looking for. Compared to other masks that I have used, usually they smell really good and leave my hair smelling fresh. I used this on my extremely parched month old protective styled hair to see if it could stand up to the task of giving that much needed moisture back into my hair. I have dry 3c-4a&b medium/coarse thick low porosity hair and while applying this in the shower, it's thick and creamy texture can just sit on the head if you have low porosity/low density/thin strands but this melted pretty easily into my hair. A stead stream of water helped loads and it felt so smooth on my hair. I'd recommend this for people without issue to coconut oil/shea/ cetearyl alcohol which are all potentially water pulling drying ingredients.

This hair mask was gifted by Aveda for my honest review. I have thin, fine and wavy dirty/strawberry blonde hair. I used this conditioning hair mask as instructed for about five minutes after shampooing. This hair mask felt more hydrating than a normal hair conditioner on the first day. However, my ends felt dry like straw the next day. I normally don't experience such dryness on only the day after conditioning my hair. I also felt like the mask weighed down my hair. I would normally accept the extra weight if my hair was still soft the second day. I have tried the mask three times now with the same results. My hair looked good yesterday, and now I'm hiding my dry ends in a bun.

I received this product for free, gifted by Aveda in exchange for my review. This product is a hair mask that you use after shampooing and before conditioning! When I opened it up for the first time I was surprised by the scent, it gave me herbal and minty scents. Personally it was a little too strong for me at first but once in my hair the scent turns lighter and more appealing. After using it, it did leave my hair feeling more smooth and conditioned. I love that it also controls frizz which is something I've always struggled with. Overall I am pleasantly impressed and surprised with the results. I recommend giving this product a try if you have wavy, curly and coily hair!
