My hair has been uncontrollably dry and frizzy since the start of the pandemic. So dry I could not get a comb or brush through my locks. I was so fed-up with my hair that I would just tie it up. A friend gave me a sample of Botanical Repair shampoo, conditioner and strengthening leave-in treatment. I cried after my first use - my hair was smooth, shiny and I could put a comb through it for the first time in years. I looked like a completely different person. My Husband immediately commented on how healthy my hair looks. I immediately ordered a full size shampoo, conditioner and strengthening treatment and I have been so satisfied with the status of my hair. I highly recommend it!

I have continuously repurchased this product for a little over a year now after it being recommended by a stylist. It is my favorite conditioner and I can tell the difference in my hair on the days that I do not use it. I have very long, medium thickness and wavy hair that I pretty regularly use heat tools on. This product makes my hair feel smooth, thick and shiny without just coating it in product. I use a variety of shampoos but always follow up with this conditioner to make sure my hair feels hydrated and taken care of. This conditioner has truly transformed and strengthened my hair and is fantastic when followed up with the hair masks of this line. If there is one Aveda product that I would say to try- it is this conditioner.

The conditioner feels great in the shower, but once my hair is dry it does not feel nourished and smooth. I thought it was the Botanical Repair Shampoo but have determined that the Conditioner is the (primary) problem. I did try the Botanical Repair Strengthening Mask and it seemed to work really well (it was only a sample, no long term use) but after several tries with the conditioner I have to say it is a no go. What compelled me to order this masque is Debasree the influencer. I had thick coloured hair and damaged dry ends so thought why not give it a go ! Yes the full size one is very expensive .. I mean I use keratase for my hair and they don’t come cheap either. But this one’s slightly above that price point. So was skeptical to order the full tub. So called for the travel size .. tbh when I applied it in the shower it was thick spread easily. Upon rinsing my hair ddnt feel any different infact wasn’t smooth at all I ddnt even like the smell. Detangling was easy and hair felt smooth post towel dry. Then I used my Dyson smooth ring brush to style and my hair styled so well. My dry ends were smoothened so nicely. I've been using Aveda for almost 20 years. Ever since they got bought out, the smells have gotten stronger. Smells used to be strong but wear off quickly. I can't use the shampoo, conditioner with the treatment together it's so strong and smells for days. I have to use my olaplex or Nutriplenish treatment to balance the smell. I wish it weren't like this as my nose, as well as my husband's have always loved Aveda. Until now. I'll keep using it because it works well, but I really ask Aveda to calm the perfume down. It's what has separated them from the other salon brands. Please keep it that way!!! Calm the scents down!! Unfortunately, I left Aveda, but I'm back because the smells, though strong, are at least more pleasant than others. But seriously, when I use the botanical repair shampoo/conditioner/treatment trio, my hair smells like it for DAYS. Not what I loved about Aveda. I wish they'd let some scent go and go calmer.
