I apply the Invati Thickening Foam on damp hair after applying the Aveda Invati Ultra Advanced 4-step System. I apply the Foam from roots to ends and then style as usual (either air-dry natural curls or blow-dry straight). The Thickening Foam gives my hair amazing, soft, and touchable hold while keeping my style in place and also provides shine, volume, bounce, and frizz control! This is just an all around great product! The Aveda Invati Ultra Advanced Thickening Foam is supposed to thicken hair by 11% which gives the feeling of 11,000 extra hairs. I don't know if it actually provides an increase of 11% thickness...but, I do know that my hair looks thicker to me, feels thicker to me, and my hair appears thicker to other people! Just like the rest of the Aveda Invati Ultra Advanced Collection, the Invati Ultra Advanced Thickening Foam has the same light, clean, beautiful, calming, and refreshing scent! I have been using this thickening foam for about a week now, I use as directed when I get out of shower and have towel dry hair. My hair is pretty thin as I age, and so I wanted to try this foam out to help thicken my hair, and give it some volume. It seems it has done the job pretty well so far from what I can tell. My hair seems to have some volume to it as well as seem a bit thicker. I also noticed that I don't have much Frizz either after using this, which in georgia with the humidity Frizz is crazy sometimes. I also love the fact that this foam is not sticky and isn't to heavy in hair. It's very lightweight, also has a nice earthy scent to it, I can smell the sage for sure, and maybe a slight bit of the lavendar. I do wish Aveda had provided full sized products since their claim is for full results in 12 weeks; mine lasted about 1.5 weeks. In the short time of using the Invati products, I noticed my hair was fuller and felt thicker in a ponytail. I used a combination of Invati fortifying leave-in treatment and the thickening foam as my styling hair products. This combo was a knock-out - my hair had beautiful volume and noticeably less frizz/flyaways. I will repurchase these products for styling, although I am not certain the thickening foam works any better than the cheaper Phomollient foam.
