Aveda Men Pure-Formance Shampoo 300 ml

I have been fighting my curly/frizzy hair my whole life. I recently decided to stop flat ironing it straight and embrace the curl. I switched to Aveda Be Curly Shampoo, Conditioner and Moroccon Oil Intense Curling Cream. It's hard for me to review each of these products individually because I started using all three at the same time. That being said, my hair looks the best it ever has! My curls are soft, yet defined. Even on some humid east coast days my hair held up pretty well. The other product I use as well is Farouk's Biosilk. EMBRACE THE CURL!

I love the scent of this shampoo as does my son. He is so obsessed with this. He says that it makes his hair feel super silky and smooth afterwards. It's a really good product but the only downside is that it is so very expensive. Especially if your child decides to use it everyday just because he loves it Soo much. Leaves the scalp and hair looking and feeling very clean and lovely too.

Best Shampoo I've Tried. Period.

Starting off, I have sensitive skin and there is something in a lot of common shampoos and conditioners that give me issues. Things like red raccoon eyes and a warm/irritated scalp. I don't know what it is though. I've been going to an Aveda salon for quite some time and never noticed any issues. But, I had to take my glasses off so I couldn't tell for sure. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on these kind of products so I tried to find a cheaper alternative. Well I went through about 5 of your common low to mid tier products that you could find at a nice grocery store and none of them worked. Tired of spending time and effort trying new shampoos I ponied up the cash and let me tell you, this is the first time that I felt fine after showering. I feel very relieved. And really, you only need to use a small amount each time so the price isn't that outrageous. I hope they never change the formula.

Get the good stuff!

Ive used this product for many many years15 to be exact. Its a great product that leaves my scalp feeling refreshed and clean. No residual buildup or even left. Aveda products are pricey but they are so good. You wont buy store brand again after using this!

Great daily shampoo

This is a really great daily hair cleanser. It lathers fairly well, rinses clean and leave hair and scalp feeling calm, clean and normalized. I greatly prefer this over Invati, which left my hair and scalp dry and greasy at the same time (odd, I know). This pure-formance shampoo even detangles my short-medium hair. If I am in a hurry, I can skip conditioner. I love the clean, natural smell as well...although I wish it lasted/lingered longer.

Great product & service!

The package came with a shampoo leaking from the cap and I contacted the customer service, they promptly sent a replacement via Second-day delivery. Great customer service! As for the shampoo itself, I bought it for my husband! I used to work in a hair care company so I know something about the shampoo formula. This shampoo is formulated with mild sulfactant - that's what I like most! Also, the lather is rich and creamy. Hair is smooth and moistuized when dry! My husband likes it so much and I tried once and like it too. If it were not formulated with a men's scent, I think I would switch my own shampoo to it, too!

It's okay

I was a big fan of this shampoo when it first came out. I used it for several years with no issues. I took a break from it for a couple of years but recently decided to use it again. I'm not sure if the ingredients have changed or if it's just me, but the scent doesn't seem to be as strong as it used to be. I'm a scent person and that was really the biggest draw to this shampoo for me. It still cleans my hair and scalp well though. I'm still undecided on whether I will reorder this or not.

My New Favorite Shampoo

I decided to give this a try, and I was blown away at how well it works. It's moisturizing, but doesn't weigh your hair down. It cleans out products, but doesn't strip your hair and make your scalp feel dry. Paired with the conditioner, which is also excellent, my hair and scalp health have really improved. I no longer itch my head throughout the day due to a dried-out scalp.Finally, the product smells great and the scent lasts ALL day. It's almost unbelievable how long it lasts, it's almost like a light cologne. The scents are natural, so it doesn't irritate my skin like other products do sometimes. This is an excellent shampoo for anybody that has short hair and wants to keep it clean and their scalps happy.

Not for me but my wife swears by it

I have a lot of hair, my scalp is quite dry after i wash it, but then gets a build up of grease and oils over the course of the day and starts to smell.I wash my hair daily and was conscious that i may have overwashed my hair to date, causing my skin to increase the production of oils to stop my scalp from drying out - this shampoo was to be my saviour.However, it wasn't working for me at all.The team at Aveda were ready to help me refund or exchange it for another item and I was good to proceed - until that is, my wife (who's INVATI products had run out and was using this) told me how well it was working for her. So we kept it. Her hair has got healthier, thicker and feels really light and clean. Second liter purchase

My husband has used this shampoo for years and years. We've gone through two liters and more. He likes the fragrance, but I have to say my 44 year old son does not like the fragrance. If you have a chance to sample it do so before buying.
