The ingredients: lots of botanicals, no silicones, plenty of good stuff. The texture: completely unlike most other conditioners I've used before. It's like a watered down thin gel! If you're not used to a silicone-free conditioner this will probably take some getting used to. The aroma: refreshing, zingy and uplifting. After a long, hot day I can't imagine anything more refreshing than massaging this into my scalp under a cool shower. It gives that 'tingling' sensation, pretty similar to my Briogeo scalp treatment but thankfully a lot less intense! I had taken a break from Aveda products for awhile because there wasn't a store convenient for me. I got the Rosemary Mint Conditioner because I had used the shampoo for years and loved it. I ordered it a few months ago but just used it for the first time. It's literally like water. I thought something was wrong with it. It's not even thick enough to apply from my palm to my hair without spilling out. Thinner than shampoo. And not effective AT ALL. Even my daughters hair which doesn't even need conditioner felt WORSE after using this. I had been an avid Aveda friends for years. But super confused and disappointed with this.

Disappointed every time I use this conditioner-Every. Time.

It hurts me to write this review. I've used This conditioner off and on for 25 years. It is not the same. First, I'll give two stars because my hair doesn't feel bad with this. But every time I use it I wonder I'm why it is so watered down, and has hardly any smell. Used to be my hair always smelled SO good. Now, the shampoo still smells great, but it's like the conditioner has so little smell that it takes all the smell that the shampoo leaves right out and I'm left with no scent at all. And the weight of the conditioner-it's more like the cream rinses that we used to have years ago. Like I said my hair doesn't feel dry, it's fine, but the lack of scent, and having to be careful that it doesn't all run out of my hand before I get it on my head, such a huge ... MoreIt hurts me to write this review. Great to maintain body and moisture
6 June 2021

This is a great conditioner. If you are used to heavy body conditioners, this will require you to to exercise restraint and trust when applying for the first time. This is because the weight and viscosity of the conditioner is extremely light and loose- almost watery, so you will be tempted to add more into your hand than necessary. Further, upon applying to your hair, it is hard to resist adding more to your hair because you think you can't feel the conditioner seep in and reach all of your hair. Trust me, it will. I share this for everyone like me other there who has a lot of hair or really long hair and fears that they won't be able to detangle or keep enough moisture in without using a heavy body conditioner. Never Weightless Rosemary Conditioner
24 August 2022

As a loyal and longtime (since its inception) Aveda customer, I am so very disappointed with the Rosemary Mint Weightless Conditioner. I bought the giant (33.8 oz) size earlier this summer and began using it a couple of weeks ago. I was sure something was wrong; at first I thought it needed to be shaken, but that made no difference in the watery quality of the conditioner. It certainly cannot be effective. I will never purchase this product again, but I am so sad to have to find a replacement. This situation is comparable to the disappearance of my favorite Replenishing body lotion of years past. I am lost and confused as to why Aveda would mess with such a quality product.

New formula kills wavy hair
27 July 2022

I've been using Rosemary Mint Conditioner for years, and this new formula absolutely flattened my beachy wavy hair. It left it limp and heavy and lifeless. I read over the new ingredients and saw why. Aveda has jumped on the trend of using Cetrimonium Chloride in its conditioners now, which is fine for people who want to straighten their hair, but it flattens and straightens every other hair texture. For anyone who has wavy hair, this will completely weigh down all your natural texture. Newsflash for Aveda and for every hair company: we don't all want straight hair!!! Yeah fine, I know that the Be Curly conditioner still exists, but it used to be nice to have more than one conditioner option. Warning to anyone who likes the look of beachy waves: stay AWAY from ... MoreI've been using Rosemary Mint Conditioner for years, and this new formula absolutely flattened my beachy wavy hair. Warning to anyone who likes the look of beachy waves: stay AWAY from Cetrimonium Chloride and away from Behentrimonium Chloride. Those ingredients work AGAINST beachy waves, and those ingredients are only doable to straighten hair or to use on hair that has a really strong curl that never loses its shape anyway. For any other texture, welcome to limp, boring hair, which is exactly what the new Rosemary Mint Conditioner did to my hair. Very bummed.

WHY WOULD YOU RUIN A GOOD PRODUCT?
5 August 2022

I have been using Rosemary Mint shampoo and conditioner for literally 20 years. Immediately after my first shower with a new bottle of conditioner I could tell the difference. After the second shower I knew something was wrong and I checked the ingredients and yep, Aveda changed them. First it is pretty scummy to change ingredients of a product that has been around for decades without explicitly expressing that on the package somewhere. Second, this new formula is terrible. It is very runny and watery, and my hair feels exactly the same before and after conditioning. After three showers my hair is now so dry it is almost crunchy. This is a waste of money and I will be returning the bottle. Shame on Aveda for silently ruining this product and now I have to go through ... MoreI have been using Rosemary Mint shampoo and conditioner for literally 20 years. Watery
27 November 2022

I have been buying this product for years. While it is very pricey, I kept buying it because I couldn't find anything better. The last time I ordered, the conditioner was so much thinner and watery. I returned it hoping that someone would contact me and let me know why the product had changed so much. The customer service rep on the phone was not helpful at all. She said she didn't know anything about it being changed. I'm going to give it one more try because it has always been such a great product. Hopefully Aveda has fixed whatever issue they are having.

Why did you ruin this product?
25 September 2022

So disappointed in the watery and inferior product I received the last time I ordered this conditioner! I have used it for 20 years and can definitely notice a decline in consistency of this product. When I emailed customer service I was told that nothing was different about it. I don't like being lied to! I was also told that I couldn't return it if half the bottle was gone. Wow! I was so upset! I also am not buying your Pure Abundance Hair Potion due to the same problem. The powder became a liquid and was not effective. Couldn't return that either. Stop lying to your customers and tell the truth about your products. Clearly I am not the only one noticing this problem. No more Aveda for me!
