I received scalp solutions overnight scalp renewal serum as a sample. I am so happy that I found this product! I was having dry, itchy and what I thought was dandruff flaking daily. After my first use of this serum I noticed a lot less of my hair issues so I decided to pay extra attention to the results and I am so pleased! Apparently I was suffering from product buildup and dry scalp and this product has put an end to my bad hair days! It's not weighd down and dull looking anymore. Thanks for such an amazing product!

It is a perfect treatment for my scalp.I applied it on my dry scalp at bedtime and massaged the serum into the scalp. I instantly felt the difference after the first use. It felt soft and hydrated and the best part was that it was not at all irritating my scalp. It works okay, and it's great that it has useful ingredients like centella asiatica, lactobacillus ferment, camellia sinensis, and many more superstar components. It is naturally fragranced, which is good, although some of these natural oils can still be allergens for some people, such as limonene. It does unfortunately contain phenoxyethanol, which while a debatably controversial ingredient, still should be avoided as a potential endocrine disruptor. Otherwise seems like a pretty high-quality product though.

I have a very dry scalp, and I only wash my hair every 7 to 10 days. I use a hydrating shampoo typically, and between the limited washing and my hydrating shampoo, that's usually enough.I recently went very blonde and my hair is fragile and I'm finding that it's so dry that my scalp is irritated when I wash it and the serum has been helpful. I find it nicer to apply on dry hair/scalp after my shower and just in the areas that I'm really flaky all over made it feel oily, and wet hair, made like an oily sheen across the 1st inch of my hair, and it was way flatter than it normally would be.Overall, I recommend this serum, especially if you have a dry scalp need to wash more frequently.

I don't know what is causing a small 2 inch patch of irritation (dry flakes) on the side of my head, especially since I do not have dry skin anywhere else on my face or body. I've tried various shampoos/conditioners, but they have no effect, however, I trust Aveda products to be higher quality than what you can find at the drugstore. This serum is soothing, and surprisingly non greasy, even when applying to dry hair, which shocked me. It knocks down some of the itch, and temporarily reduces to appearance of the white skin flakes, which is a big plus. I only have this single small 2 inch patch to treat, so I can't speak to how this serum fares when used all over the entire head....how noticeable it is probably depends how fine and limp your hair naturally is.
