I love both the shampoo and conditioner from the Aveda Shampure range. They smell amazing. The conditioner leave my hair (coloured with dry ends) soft and bouncy. This suits my hair far more than other, more expensive brands such as Olaplex. I will buy again and again and am so please that SpaceNK now stocks a good selection of Aveda products - it’s a great brand.

I have never tried or heard of the Shampure conditioner prior to this program, however the product did feel like a high end salon quality conditioner. I personally choose to spend a little more for a good quality conditioner because my hair is finicky and I take care to make sure i protect it. This conditioner is not thick, it is a medium thickness in the sense that I did feel I needed more product than normal to thoroughly condition all of my hair. I do have relatively thick hair though. In comparison to my current conditioner the Shampure did not leave my hair feeling silky or smooth to the touch, but I also did not feel any build up or conditioner left behind after rinsing.I have to admit I would not purchase the Shampure Conditioner in the future for only one ... MoreI have never tried or heard of the Shampure conditioner prior to this program, however the product did feel like a high end salon quality conditioner. It smells like a salon, it reminds me of a hair dressers shampoo, the scent is clean but it almost strikes my memory to think of a chemical like hair dye, I want to be clear the scent does not in any way impact the effectiveness of this product and some people may love the smell. I usually lean towards citrus conditioners so for me this wasnt my favorite scent but I also do not find it to be bad if someone else used it I would not notice the scent it is just on me that I dont prefer it. Aside from that the conditioner is really good it made my hair feel clean and strong and less flyaways as it air dried.I would recommend this conditioner to friends of mine with fine hair who want a light weight conditioner that cleans and treats without adding anything extra to weigh down their hair.

I know it's crazy, but this conditioner is like a one in a million product. It does not dry and flake away, even when I sleep on it overnight- there is not one flake anywhere. You can also very successfully pair this with a shampoo like Selsun Blue for anti dandriff and your scalp will stay completely clean and clear - no build up EVER. I can't say enough about something I have been taking advantage of every single day of my adult life. ( I did get the 'wash my hair at night and then just go in the am tip from Zac. :)

Little needed - it's like lotion for your hair
10 April 2019

This was my first time using the Shampure conditioner, and truthfully, the first time I had ever heard of it, as I tend to aim for mid priced products more often. Using this has given me more reason to consider other possibilities. I got to try both the shampoo and conditioner, and like the shampoo, the conditioner also goes a long way.For any woman with longer hair, you can probably relate to the shampoo well outlasting the conditioner. Theres nothing more annoying than having a third of your shampoo left, when your bottle of conditioner runs out. I found that wasn't the case with this conditioner at all. It just takes a small amount, equivalent to the amount of shampoo used to get the job done. This stuff is definitely a thicker formula. It just takes a small amount, equivalent to the amount of shampoo used to get the job done. This stuff is definitely a thicker formula. It feels more like a very thick lotion when it comes out of the bottle. And just like the shampoo, i got a full 5 or 6 uses out of a tiny sample sized bottle with long hair. Despite being so thick when it comes out, it spreada and works it's way into your hair just like a lotion would. It feels like your hair is taking in all of that moisture, vs. just having it sit on your hair to be rinsed. It has the same lighly earthy scent as it's shampoo counterpart, that seems to smell like a forest. The only reason I would give this 4 stars out of 5 on the conditioner, is that being thicker, it gets very hard to squeeze out of the bottle after some uses. I had an easier time removing the cap to dab it into my palm. Not a huge deal, but maybe this could be improved upon, because the product itself is lovely. Overall, something I would both recommend and purchase for myself.

One of my favourites
5 January 2023

I am a great fan of Aveda conditioners and this is one of my favourites. The scent is lovely and it coats the hair really well without feeling greasy or heavy. My hair feels hydrated and soft after using which is important for my fine, wavy hair which has a tendancy to frizz. It also doesn't weigh my hair down which some conditioners do when used on fine hair.I love using the conditioner from the same line as well. Thoroughly recommend.

Original Aveda, but buy the bar if possible
9 October 2022

This was one of the first Aveda hair products I tried and was a great introduction to the brand. Olaplex and Living Proof leave me underwhelmed. This is a high quality basic, balancing cleansing with moisturising on all hair types. My hair is fine, medium length and colour treated. Delicate, calming scent. The bar version is even better though (and I haven't got on well with other shampoo bars). If you want more moisturise without the heaviness of Olaplex, try the Aveda Nutriplenish range.

Sadly Disappointed in "Improved" formula
16 August 2023

I am so saddened and disappointed, in Aveda. The "improved" sham pure hair care is a joke. They took a product of perfect consistency, rinceability and aroma and completely ruined it.Altho they say they "did not change the actual aroma ingredients", there is no denying the aroma of the product has changed. And it smells terrible! My hair after use smells like a combination of old sour milk and creosote. Not the beautiful shampur smell I have loved for decades. They may have "increased the levels of the aroma ingredients" in order to try to mask the new ingredients, but they did not increase nearly enough. They say the "made some improvements to the base formula" updating the surfactant and swapping in Abyssinian oil. And my overall life happiness! I know dramatic right? But I used to love taking my hair down at night and having the shampur smell wash over me, now its super nasty like I had been camping without a shower.I assume I just need to get over it and move on. But it sure stings that so many happy years are just tossed away. I was a religious Aveda Shampure user for 30 years.

Scent Doesn't last for the price of the products
4 January 2022

I wrote this review for another Shampure Product I purchased. I use this product after taking a bath or shower with my other Shampure products in hopes that the laying of the products will help make the scent last longer. Unfortunately, even doing this, the scent doesn't last long at all. I mean, not even 15-30 minutes! I love this scent and have been purchasing it for a long time now. I have mentioned this before and I was hoping that they would look into this and perhaps increase the oils they add to it to make the scent last longer. For the price paid, I would hope that it would last for some hours. But it doesn't. You can find it here while supplies last: https://bit.ly/ShampureEssentialsGift.Aveda seems to be ignoring my issue! I have bought the product they are trying to have me purchase again. I bought each and every one of the Shampure products and have spent quite a bit of money on all of these products. I said I layer them to try to get the scent to last longer. Layering meand that I'm using all of the products, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, body wash, the parfume spray. ALL OF THEM. Still the scent doesn't last. It doesn't feel good to be treated like this.

WHY DID YOU RUIN A 29 YEAR, BRAND LOYAL RELATIONSHIP???

I've been a devoted Aveda customer since 1990 when I was 15 years old. The product that got me hooked? Shampure shampoo and conditioner. From that moment on I became an Aveda diehard convert using nearly every product they've ever created.Flash forward to 2019 and I've seen a dramatic reduction in the high-end factor of this brand in general. From that moment on I became an Aveda diehard convert using nearly every product they've ever created.Flash forward to 2019 and I've seen a dramatic reduction in the high-end factor of this brand in general. I knew something was up when the company took away the incredible PureFume # 6 - the quintessential Shampure scent every Aveda lover adored and looked forward to on their birthday when they'd receive a coveted gift of a custom blended PureFume. The reformulated Shampure Pure-Fume Mist was a weak substitution - a synthetic, vanilla heavy, new formulation with zero staying power and none of the nuanced notes of Ylang, Bergamot and Lavender. People lost their minds with this change, this was no mere product being discontinued - this was THE anchor scent of the whole brand ffs. Then products that were formerly in glass started showing up in plastic - something Horst Rechelbacher (the original creator of Aveda) would've completely disagreed with as he was BIG on using sustainable/recyclable/non polluting materials whenever possible and understood the problem of plastics leaching into the products we put onto our skin that aren't washed away.I don't have a problem with ditching the silicone for Abyssinian oil in the formulation - BUT WHY MESS WITH THE SCENT? Why formulate with essential oils when you can create lab synthetics for a fraction of the price? The even bigger kick in the pants is the fact that they have the gall to charge the same price for this inferior, garbage scent. I'm so disappointed that this company has completely lost touch with it's mission statement and overall philosophy.

Works well!
5 April 2019

I llike this brand and have used it a lot over the years. I have very long hair (32 inches root to tip last time I measured it) and this brand usually works well to clean and detangle my hair. I am very picky with what I will use for hair products because I grow my hair out to donate to be made into wigs for cancer patients, and I don't want my hair damaged or in poor shape for donation. I don't dye my hair and I don't use any heat styling tools, but my hair is still prone to being dry and hard to manage, especially when it comes to brushing it out after a shower no matter what I do! This conditioner did work good and made after shower brushing go okay too. I did have to use a lot of the product to really coat the bottom part of my hair that is the worst to brush. This conditioner did work good and made after shower brushing go okay too. I did have to use a lot of the product to really coat the bottom part of my hair that is the worst to brush. I let it sit and worked it through with my fingers and it did detangle my hair and leave it soft and smooth with no residue buildup at all. I like the smell of my hair after and my only complaint is that I did have to use a lot of product. I was given a sample and the bottle was pretty small for someone with long hair. I would have liked to be able to use this for a couple of weeks to get a better feel for what I could expect from long term use results but the bottle size didn't allow for more than a few uses. I do like this line and this brand, but this wasn't extra special and it didn't make me want to pay extra for it because this brand is pricey. I like the results but I feel like I get the same results for less money with what I am using now. If you have less hair than I do, I'm sure that this would work even better for you and the amount of product you would need would be so much less so the cost wouldn't be so bad for how long a bottle would last. I'll still keep trying out products from this brand because they are a good company and I usually like the results I get. I think this would be better suited for shorter hair and it would be worth the money if you didn't need to use a ton like me!
