Have been using this shampoo consistently for over 2 years. I have “normal” hair - not too oily, not too brittle, not super thick or thin. Sham pure is not technically “clarifying” so it’s suitable for daily use and not overly drying (their rosemary mint line is good for clarifying if you have a lot of product build up). The scent is the heavenly, signature Aveda scent that makes your bathroom smell like a spa - bonus that my husband and I can use the same shampoo! Highly recommend a more moisturizing conditioner - the one in this line doesn’t pack enough punch for me.

I like the Aveda lotion for some reasons. The First reason is that the smell is so good. It smells like flower and plant. The texture is creamy but don't expect it as creamy as lubiderm or something since it's not rich creamy.

Anything Aveda is fantastic! They really know haircare and each line is made to take care of anything you have going on. I love that it’s made with more natural ingredients than most haircare lines, and the smell is wonderfully organic. These shampoos have really turned me off from the fruity and perfume scents that most other brands have. This one is perfect for when you’ve been dry shampooing lately or using a lot of products that might be building up on your hair. This really gets you back to the base layer you need to prep you for a great conditioning treatment.

This is my absolute favorite shampoo along with the conditioner. I LOVE the smell. I LOVE how my hair feels afterwards, soft and healthy. The smell lasts for days. I would normally shampoo daily, but when I use this product, I can easily go 3 days without washing my hair. I am 100% satisfied with this product.
I discovered Aveda Shampure years ago when I was window shopping on Green St in Pasadena. I looked into this fancy schmancy salon and noticed one wall by the cash register had a ton of Aveda products. At the time, Shampure was only $8, but back then, that was pretty expensive for a bottle of shampoo. I also grabbed up this really awesome blue bottle of the Brilliant emollient finishing spray and this really cute roller ball blue oil that smelled like peppermint and camomile. I scored big that day. Although I think Shampure is the only product left of that list, they are still my go-to brand for haircare. Bi recommend them highly.
I’ve been using this shampoo several decades. It is formulated using herbal extracts. The first time I tried it was actually when a salon washed my hair with it. Wow what an instant difference for the better. I actually called them after I got home and was like, what did you wash my hair with? At the time I had long thick glorious curls. My hair had no frizz, was shiny, and just looked healthy. Since I’ve kept it in rotation with some other of my favorites. I will probably always use this stuff because I love it.
I discovered this when I was still a kid because my cousin used to buy it and to this day it is still in the top 3 best smelling shampoos for me. I love that it is more natural than most and has such clean ingredients. I love the way it makes my hair feel when I use it. My hair feels soft and bouncy. I do not use it exclusively because after a while for some reason my hair starts getting oily and not looking too great. I will switch between shampoos but this one is great for when your hair needs a break from all the crud. A funny story: when my grandmother tried to wash my hair with it for the first time when I was a child she called my cousin and told her that it was awful and must be old because it didn't lather at all. My cousin had to tell her it's not supposed ... MoreI discovered this when I was still a kid because my cousin used to buy it and to this day it is still in the top 3 best smelling shampoos for me. Amazing classic at its best. I have used this in conjunction with other Aveda shampoos through the years. I am never disappointed. Shampure cleans without stripping moisture, lathers well, and smells amazing too. I have fine hair but lots of it (long too) that is highlighted and heat styled about twice a week. This shampoo keeps my hair healthy. I rotate it with the Repair line to help heal hair after coloring esp bleaching.
I use this shampoo and conditioner everyday and it always leaves my hair soft and shiny. I have thin fine hair and it doesn’t weigh my hair down or make it greasy. It arrived in good condition, no leaks in the bottle, packaged well.
It has a relatively strong herbal scent, and was strong enough to affect my sensitive mom with asthma. Otherwise a little goes a long way and doesnt leave a waxy buildup!
