I have been using Aveda products for over 30 years. My first experience of Aveda was in Minneapolis in the US where I attended meetings with my Representative in the area. I tried it loved it and found out at the time it was not available in the UK. So I came back with every product Aveda produced at the time for my type of hair. I was so pleased when Aveda started selling it in the UK..THE VOLUMISING TONIC iS IDEAL FOR MY FINE GREY HAIR.So from having complimentary Aveda products in my Hotel Bathroom I found products that are so suitable for my grey, fine straight hair. I initially thought I must be having some kind of health problem, until I realized this was the product I had added and that this was when the issues began. I bought this product for the first time. I sprayed it the way it was supposed to be sprayed, I even looked at a video on youtube to make sure I wasn't missing anything and used it correctly, but nothing happened, no volume nothing.The only thing I agreed about was the fact that it does smell nice and leaves your hair soft, but I bought it to get volume on my very fine hair and sadly for me it didn't deliver.Returned it and wasted money on the shipping that QVC charges you for it even if the product doesn't work for you. Wrong to do so but that's how they do things.

Maybe it was my fault for giving it high expectations after reading those 5-star reviews. Unfortunately, it just couldn't work out. I have an oily scalp and fine hair, and this spray just made things worse, much worse. I followed the instruction, sprayed, and then blow-dry. Surprisingly, my hair got more flat and sticky to the scalp. I tried it on both dry hair and wet hair, freshly washed hair or dump hair, all got the same result. I looked at the before & after photos and felt it worked exactly the opposite way. I should have bought 30ml instead of 100ml. I really curious how did this product work on other people's hair.
I'm an Aveda devotee and couldn't be without this or the Hair Thickener. At first I thought they're the same product but definitely not! The thickener is thicker (lol) and goes on the roots, the volumusing spray is for the length of your hair, it leaves my hair soft and shiny and bouncy. About my hair: I've always had thin, lank hair but following illness almost 10 years ago I suffered hair loss that has not grown back, it destroyed my confidence to the point of losing my job and my barely leaving the house - so I do not recommend hair products without thoroughly believing in their efficacy.
My hair has thinned a little over the years though I still have a lot of it! I needed more volume that stayed all day. Aveda works!! I towel dry my hair after washing, pump the product into my hand, rub my hands together, then rub them underneath my hair by the roots. Then I blow dry. Instant volume! And it stays! I couldn't believe it! I definitely recommend this product if you need more hair volume. It's not sticky and has a nice fragrance to it. I will be buying this again!
I use this on dry hair as my last step of styling. I can’t believe the way it plumps up my style. And, on the second day, I still have volume without having to reapply. I am 70 years old and have LOTS of fine thin hair. Because of an accident and subsequent surgery, I struggle to use both arms to style my hair. This product has been a godsend, I always struggle to find products to give me volume and lift. This product does both. I would love auto delivery, please!

She demonstrated how to apply it, by spraying on my hair whilst it was still damp - applying directly to the roots. This was then massaged in and finally followed by brushing though with a brush whilst at the same time using a blow dryer. Accurate advice which unfortunately I didn't take take heed of...because a few days after purchasing, I decided to try it on my hair, some hours after using a hair spray. I have fine blonde hair that tends to be oily. I thought this volumizing tonic would do the trick, but it only made my hair oilier and flat instead of giving the volume I wanted. I'm SO glad QVC is again including a packing slip! I had stopped ordering and even stopped watching QVC because it was a pain to return something that didn't work. I have been a customer for many years and have enjoyed discovering new things (IT Cosmetics, PTR etc.) that I continue to use and reorder. Thank you QVC for restoring my confidence in you.
Ever since I tried your spray Volumizing Tonic, it's been very helpful to my after shampooing routine. I have fine hair. Even though I have a full head of hair, it absolutely does not have any body to help hold a hairstyle. So, Volumizing Tonic greatly helps to get that style and body to go out and meet the day. And, I love the beautiful aroma added when using this product. Hope you keep this product around.
