My skin is Acne prone, generally dry and extremely sensitive, to top all that I was diagnosed with rosacea earlier this year after struggling with tingly red rashes on the center of my face. ( see pictures , my skin is healing really well) The dermatologist told me to stop use of all products except for a gentle cleanser moisturizer and sunscreen. This is the moisturizer I chose. It is thick and a little bit heavy but in a good way. It hasn’t caused any new breakouts, and wears nicely under sunscreen and makeup. It’s the only thing that has helped the redness. Each jar is between $19 and $25 for a 1.7 ounce jar. It’s not allot of product it a little goes a long way. . Iv grid a turf prouducts in the line and love them all

After using the cerave cream on my face i got red itchy patches on my face along with little bumps. it bummed me out so much i didn’t know what to do i worked so hard to get my skin to where it was. i went to my local target and saw that aveeno came out with a redness relief cream!!! exactly what i needed during this time, it reminded me of their ultra-calming line that was sadly discontinued 3 the night cream was my favorite. i compared the ingredients and they were basically the EXACT same. i took a chance on it and yup!!! it fixed my skin right up. absorbs quickly into your skin and leaves it SMOOOOOTH! i decided to leave a review bc i don’t see many yet so if you’re thinking about purchasing this is you sign to DO IT!

Calming moisturizer with a lovely texture

I'm enjoying this moisturizer. The oat is calming for my redness-prone skin. I find this is useful when my skin is irritated and angry. It has a thicker texture but it's surprisingly elegant and it blends in beautifully. It's by no means my heaviest moisturizer and it absorbs quickly and doesn't leave any kind of greasy residue. It actually leaves a fairly matte finish. I like it for my daytime routine and it works well under sunscreen and makeup. My only gripe is the scent. It is fragrance free and it doesn't include any masking ingredients so you can smell the actual ingredients which isn't the most pleasant thing ever but it fades fairly quickly.

I always thought Aveeno was a good brand. I had not really tried their skin care until now and having tried Aveeno’s Calm and Restore Redness Relief Moisturizing Cream, I know why my people who use Aveeno’s products love them so much. They work and they work well. After spending a lot of time outdoors in the freezing cold, I had very dry skin and used just a little of this cream and it took away all the redness, irritation, dryness and roughness in one application. My normal up to now had been putting on what I thought was good moisturizer on and the dry, rough, irritated skin gets some moisture relief but it is still there. Finally something that helped

For several months, I was suffering from a weird lower eyelid sensitivity where I would break out in a red, bumpy rash just under my eye after any use of any product or even oil buildup during the day or trying to use a sleep mask. I tried Honest brand eye creams thinking that was a clean brand and got the same rash. I tried switching to Well People eye makeup - same rash. I was using hydrocortisone to clear up the rash, but I was using it at least a couple days once a week - not ideal for long term. Then I tried this and it healed my skin. It also evened out the tone on the rest of my face. I tried it after checking the ewg site and noticing an ibotta coupon, and couldn’t be more relieved and grateful. Great Product

Had to find a new moisturizer when Aveeno discontinued their Ultra Calming daily moisturizer. I have acne rosacea and it gets so bad sometimes that the skin on my cheeks will get so irritated and will physically hurt if I'm not using the right product. This is thicker than what I'm used to and I was afraid it was going to be heavy and greasy on my skin. It was not! In my opinion it absorbed nicely into my skin and left no sheen. I ended up having a bad reaction to a different (new) moisturizer I was trying, but when I stopped that one and started using this one, within a couple of days my skin felt and looked so much better. And with continued use I'm noticing a reduction in redness, which is a big deal for me. Not for me

I have sensitive skin, acne prone, dry and itchy patches. I keep my skin routine very basic so my skin stays clear, but I've been struggling with red dry itchy skin. I was nervous to try because I read a review about a huge zite on someone's forehead. After the two first nights my skin did look relieved and I woke up with 2-3 pore size white heads on my chin (normal for me when I try new products). It does pill a bit but I did like how soft my face was feeling. I'm a week in and I woke up with a painful huge zite bump growing on my forehead (I don't get breakouts on my forehead). For my skin type it's not worth the risk, but I would recommend for non acne prone skin because I liked how much my skin was improving in one week.

Silky texture

This moisturizing cream is wonderful! I love how silky it feels! While I’m applying it to my face, my fingers glide across my skin. I do not have to press and it feels like my skin is drinking it. It does not feel oily or leave my skin feeling oily. I use it more around my T zone as it is winter in my state and the cold wreaks havoc on my skin. My nose is dry and red most of the season. While using Calm and Restore by Aveeno, I don’t have that issue. My skin literally feels like I have a protective shield on it.I’ve been using this regularly for almost a month now and have had nothing but positive results to it. I do recommend it.

This is NOT a substitute for Aveeno's Ultra-Calming line

I was more than distressed to learn that Aveeno had discontinued the Ultra-Calming line. I've been using it for more than 20 years. I'm 77 now -- and people frequently comment that my skin looks much younger than my age (no wrinkles except a few around my lipline) Aveeno website recommends Calm+Restore as a replacement. IT IS NOT A REPLACEMENT. First -- it is a cream, not a lotion. It is heavier on the face, more likely to clog pores. I'm going to have to find a different manufacturer -- with the same values (no animal testing, etc) as Aveeno. It makes no sense for Aveeno to have discontinued this product.
