To my surprise, the exfoliating beads are very, very small. They almost feel like crushed rice balls (if that makes any sense) much smaller and gentler than sugar. And their smooth round edges prevent them from creating micro-tears in the skin Aveeno's scrub product is so light, my face doesn't feel tight, because it doesn't dry out my skin. It is oil-free so I don't get that oily feeling either. My face doesn't necessarily feel silky smooth because I don't think it is loaded with silicone but my face just feels like skin. As for the brightening effect, when you're face is clean it will always look bright. I know you might feel the need to press into the skin as you exfoliate but it is really not necessary, it is a top no-no, because doing so can damage the skin. Because it is so gentle, I am able to use it 2-3 times a week. It has become an integral part of my weekly night routine before I actually cleanse my face. I love this product and have been raving about it for some time now.

Bring back the old formula! The New Formula STINKS

I've been using Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Skin Brightening Scrub for what seems like forever. Last week I purchased what I thought was simply new packaging and sadly discovered when using it that it was actually a new formulation. The new formula smells like a bathroom cleaning product. The old formula smelled clean and fresh. The new formula doesn't feel as creamy or nourishing. My face is dryer with the new formula. It is noticeably redder as well. I cannot continue using the new formula and am so disapointed that I haven't been able to find another bottle of the original formula. Is there a secret stash of the old formula somewhere that I can go stock up? PLEASE Go Back to the Old Formula!

Entire Formula Changed

I’ve literally been using this since I hit puberty. I’ve used this product for literally 19 years. Why on earth would you change the product. The new texture is awful. My skin is dried out and the smell is GOD AWFUL. You cutting corners now because of inflation ? You’d think this brand would be BIG ENOUGH to stick to their original formula. But it’s obvious what’s going on. You’re adding other chemicals and taking soy away because you want to cheap out and make more money. I’ve given this product and your company YEARS of loyalty and to have this change happen is upsetting and discouraging. I literally don’t use anything else. Why would your company do this? Formula has changed. No longer my best face wash

This used to be my number one face wash and the only one I’d ever use for years! Without any warning the formula has changed and I’m deeply disappointed! Texture is terrible. Smell is like sanitizer and not something I’d ever want to put on my face. I’m so disappointed with my most trusted company. Why change something that was never even broken??? Just tried the new formula and my face feels immensely itchy, dried out, and red. So disappointing!! Please bring back your old formula!! It was literally the best on the market! I’ll be looking for a new product now as this is no longer something I’ll be using. no one seems to like this new product. Aveeno has lost its good reputation. Please fix this and bring back what we’ve all used and loved!!!

New Look AND New Formula

I’ve been using this product for awhile now. I’ve seen the bottle change a couple times, so I didn’t think anything of it when I bought my most recent bottle and it looked different. I did double check the label, and couldn’t find any mention of a formula change. I used the product for the first time and could instantly tell it was different. It was a different color and texture. It didn’t later the same or feel the same on my skin. It didn’t feel like it got my skin clean like it normally did. Even more concerning, my face started to itch and burn. After my shower, my face continue to burn and started to feel very tight. I’m currently experience burning, itching, and tightness, and hoping this doesn’t worsen into an even more negative reaction. New formula smells like Scrubbing Bubbles

This new formulation is horrific on multiple levels. I have been using this product for at least 20 yrs. It has changed very little in that time until recently.Scent: this new scent is horrible. It smells like a bathroom cleaner - specifically Scrubbing Bubbles. It is psychologically very hard to put something on my face that smells like a caustic chemical. It’s also just a terrible smell. I loooved the old scent and the one before that. Go back.Grit Material: there is a new grit being used in this product. It has changed over time from a microbead (which got banned due to microplastics pollution) to some kind of ground walnut shell (not awesome, but not irritating) to this, which feels like actual sand. The previous formula never caused any skin issues, through all the formulations over 2 decades.No warning: I’m very disappointed that there was no branding on the tube to indicate a the formula change. New packaging happens all the time, but formulation changes require notice on the package. I have bought two tubes of a product that I can’t use bc I assumed it was the same product it has always been.

Totally new formula and zero warning

Been using this face scrub for years and the newest version of this scrub is a completely different formula, and not for the better. Totally different smell that’s very off putting and sterile seeming, like hand sanitizer. The new consistency, color and texture of the scrub is awful as well. After giving it a try just a couple times I immediately broke out — and I very rarely get breakouts.Please bring the old formula back!! Also, be more transparent with your customers on your packaging if you completely change your product all of a sudden.and noticed the packaging was different when I bought my latest bottle

Originally was using the green package. LOVED IT. So gentle and actually made my skin feel brighter. Ran out and thought I was purchasing the same product just with different packaging… go to use it the first time and it smells like chemical cleaner YUCK! And pull the old package out of the trash and see they changed the ingredients. WHY! Why would you do this without putting on the package it’s a new formula?????? I thought Aveeno was a brand I could trust! Guess not!!!
