I'm 31 and still dealing with acne. Or at least, I was until 6 months ago when I started using this cleanser. I've always gone with face washes that have salicylic acid any things like that but I just kept breaking out, my skin texture was just never great. Then my dermatologist recommended a switch to a gentle cleanser twice a day, followed by my standard routine (vitamin c serum with caffeine and moisturizer in the morning then retinal, eye cream, moisturizer at night). I picked this up and didn't change anything else. My skin LOVES IT!!! I haven't had a break out in about 5 months and my skin texture is so smooth and soft. I have used Clinique's wash off facial cleanser for many years but have recently been finding my skin looked tired and dull and was developing little blemishes. My skin is oily with acne since puberty. I barely manage to keep under control with the use of natural/organic products, not tested on animal products, & also big brand names. I decided to try this because of my mom (thanks to YouTube), having heard positive things about the brand. I was previously using Vichy Normaderm Daily Deep Cleansing which is also a good face wash. But, I saw a difference in my skin. The texture of my skin improved little by little. This isn't a miracle cleanser, but it's as close to it as I have found so far. When used regularly, it does make huge a difference. Also, make sure to use a moisturizer after washing your face in general, as it even dried out my oily skin. To me, the scent is not unpleasant. I like this face wash! It's foams up really nice and my face feels really clean afterwards. Probably not the best for dry skin because it kind of strips your skin, I don't mind that because I am extremely oily. Also, the fragrance is a bit much. So if ur a fragrance-free type of person I wouldn't get this. But honestly I'd buy again
This cleansing gel is just ok. It's too scented for me to want to use it on my face. It doesn't have a rich lather and is not as easily spreadable as other body washes I use. It's not horrible by any means, but it's not great. I just think there's better products on the market.
Firstly the contents was more liquid form but a little thicker. It lathered up nicely then vanished on my face before I washed it off. I've used it for a few days now and can already see a difference !! During my period start too when my acne is at its worse and i didn't see anything pop up new and infact helped my face get clean.Smell is very light and almost non noticeable if I wasn't so persistent to smell it lol it cleaned my combination ance proned face so easily.
Luckily I got this in a mini size in the Avene kit. I love their products but this smells like TIDE DETERGENT! Come on, Avene. There is a large group of skincare users that are sensitive to fragrance. Why in the world would you formulate this to smell & also LOOK like laundry detergent???
I love the Avene brand! I use the Cleanance line. I use the serum and the Matte moisturizer and have just added this cleanser and I notice a big difference in my skin. The cleanser is not drying or irritating and I do have sensitive skin. I was concerned about the fragrance as some have mentioned but it is not a problem for me. I do remove my makeup first with vanicream gentle cleanser. I will definitely repurchase this cleanser.
I've tried tons and tons of cleansers because I like to experiment and see if I can find the next better than what I have. Let me say there are better options out there. Does it clean the face? Sure. Very strong smell, so if you're skin is very sensitive, this is not for you. Even CeraVe is better, and cheaper.
I have tried literally every cleanser I possibly could. After seeing that dermatologists recommend this, I decided it was worth a shot. This cleanser has absolutely saved my skin. My skin has literally transformed from having acne regularly to none at all. My skin is combination oily and dry especially with the seasons. I had Pimples regularly, I feel like I always had at least 1 or 2 on my face at all times. Now I have gone months without a single outbreak. I am never using any other face wash again! It's like a miracle cleansing gel. It's hydrating and does not over dry your skin, it's gentle and soothing AND cleanses and treats my out breaks and now I am acne free.
